It adds a lot of things that work in the background, in contrast to the horse ranch EP that adds a lot of "substantial" content and no overarching feature, to compare. Growing Together adds depth to family gameplay, interaction with other sims, milestones that you can unlock depending on the things your Sim actually…
I bought a whole residential rental after initially moving in as a tenant and I've never had any maintenance or emergency event as a landlord yet (such as power outage requiring me to have to go to renters apartments and such), is it a known bug?
There are only two game packs I don't own, which are My Wedding Stories (because people said it was buggy at release) and Dream Home Decorator (I don't enjoy building). I actually was contemplating the idea of buying it at a discount because the world that comes with it does look very pretty but his thread really convinced…
That is very clever and also realistic in a way! I like that. It makes the child's traits kind of logical this way, with a hint of randomness. Over the course of a legacy save, a few generations down the line, there might still be one trait that has been passed down but the "way of life" of your sims might be completely…
If I "buy" the rental with the free realestate cheatcode, have some NPCs move in, resell the rental, will the NPCs move out with no new NPCs moving in and I'll have to do this again eventually? What if an NPC dies?
I was playing in a residential rental and one of my sim works from home as a streamer. A few sim minutes before starting his stream, there was a power outage and my sim couldn't work since it requires a computer. I called the landlord in hope of him quickly fixing it, I used the interaction to ask him to check the power…
Do empty apartments automatically populate when there's no landlord to manually add sims? I downloaded a residential rental with 6 apartments from the gallery and moved my sim in one of them, but the 5 remaining apartments are still empty.
Is there a handyman NPC who comes and clean the shared spaces or your appliances every x days? When you play as a tenant, do you get to experience the random events that happen to tenants when you play as a landlord or is strictly a landlord gameplay thing? If the landlord lives on the same lot as you as a tenant, are…
I'm talking about the sink fix that is listed as a "main feature" of this patch, not the actual bug fixes. I edited my original post to make it more clear :D
This is quite the underwhelming pre-EP patch lol. One bug fix that somehow is considered a main feature, one "ok" feature (household switching) and a feature from an EP making its way into base game.
Oh well. At least the core new gameplay mechanic sounds interesting and truly game changing. A bit disappointed that snooping isn't the same as burglars break-ins but did they just tease that it IS coming at some point or is it just me? :D I like that they were 100% transparent before release through this FAQ and addressed…
Glad they addressed this as I saw quite a few people not wanting to deal with it. Lot Challenges really is a clever game design idea imo, since there are so many different ways to play, making everything as optional as can be to tailor each players game experience to their liking without leaving anyone behind was the right…
I guess they just picked the pack with the lowest amount of downloads to give away. Still surprised they gave away something, like... For free. EA. :D Good for the people who didn't own it yet, maybe this is an incentive for those players to also buy Cats&Dogs down the way.
I expected it so no surprise here, and I don't know how they could have done otherwise without tweaking the way the whole game works anyway. It's not a deal breaker for me at all as this is pretty much how it worked in TS2 minus the loading screen, you still could only have one active unit at a time. If you entered someone…
All right, the max number of units was my main fear but now that we know that we can have up to 6 units (maybe more but not expecting it) it's definitely going to be a game changer. And shared spaces! Definitely going to create a shared gym under the units! So many possibilities. This is so cool! I really love when EP…
Not exactly a negative comment but why do they keep evading the "how many families per lot" questionnnnnnnnnnnnnn they even went out of their way to say "we can't answer this yet" aaaaaaaa I hope there's a good reason for this but the fact they can't straight up answer or say something along the lines of "don't worry" is…
Yes most likely. The theme could improve so many aspects of the already existing worlds and I just like it for storytelling purposes. I'll wait one or two days for reviews and answers to precise questions I have with the gameplay that haven't been answered in either blog posts or through Sim gurus tweets yet.
Kinda scared about the maximum number of families on a single lot not gonna lie. Blog post only mentions "renting a basement, a duplex for close families or big apartments for large families" but not whole buildings with many families and the only pic showing multi residential lot shows two big apartments. Hoping we can…
While I am in LOVE with the concept, because Sims 2 apartment life was a really enjoyable experience, I'm afraid that the Sims 4 take on Apartment life is going to focus only on one main feature whereas Sims 2 added way more in terms of content : the whole apartments system with a landlord NPC and all the neighbor…
