Good points. :) I had a theory that it might appeal more to people who micromanage because the complexity wouldn't matter so much. Scratch that one. And thanks for answering.
@luthienrising Can I ask what your playstyle is, Luthienrising? For example, are you the type to sit back and watch your sims or do you micromanage them? I'm trying to figure out what type of player this version appeals to and you seem to still enjoy it after all this time. edited to add address
I get that this is how the game is designed so I understand why you are explaining how it works with ghosts in the game. I would add my opinion, though, that it is poorly designed. Releasing a spirit should be for the purpose of no longer having the ghost appear which some people prefer. That should not remove their name…
Yes! This is a huge issue for me. I want my Sims to suffer and I want to be challenged as a player to help my Sims get through the tough times. Then, when (and if) they succeed in life, I will feel rewarded for my efforts. To me, this is the 'game' part of the game and it is woefully missing.
This is my biggest beef with this version. I love to play rags to riches style but with this version, even gardening makes my Sims rich very quickly. It's like they forgot to add the gaming portion to it because they focused so hard on the multitasking system.
You don't have to use the age up interaction at all. Your baby will age up on it's own as long as you have aging turned on. If you want to have the baby turn into a child early, use age up.
There is no attraction system in Sims 4. Each time one Sim interacts with another, there is a chance for a positive reaction or a negative reaction. I don't know what the algorithm is (involves emotions too) that dictates the chances. So yes. All have equal opportunities to succeed or fail, as I understand it.
I would like to know if a fix for my Sim who took a rocket to Sixam and met an alien who was not in disguise, then got upset after discovering she is an alien after talking to her long enough to become good friends is being worked on or if it is running how it was intended to.
I would like to know if a fix for culling of townie sims who have a relationship with my played sims, even though the population has not reached 180 sims, is being worked on or if it is running how it was intended to.
I would like to know if a fix for sims who pay bills through their cell phone while on vacation in Granite Falls and come home to find the money is still gone but the bill is still in the mailbox and needing to be paid, is being worked on or if it is running how it was intended to.
I would like to know if a fix for sims starting to read a book, then putting it down somewhere, then going to get a new one, rinse and repeat, is being worked on or if it is running how it was intended to.
I have no idea how the sims 4 is doing. Its still in its early stages but more and more people are walking away from playing or not buying more of this game. Time will tell if the game survives. Thats up to EA. They need to listen to their players. I do know that several of us are dissatisfied with the sims 4 and what EA…
@MsPhy Thanks for responding. I guess I should try the no culling mod. I've never been comfortable using them in the past. I guess I've never found a need for them until now.
