Welp... my build is simply not coming along as planned. I'm still fairly new to TS4 build mode and I think I may just need some more time to learn my way around it like I knew in TS3. For now, I've scraped my build. But, nonetheless, if I find a new inspiration I'll try and tackle it. Good luck to all entrants! This is…
Hey there. I was in your shoes a month ago when I bought the newest 13" MacBook Pro. I upgraded the processor and RAM though. For the Sims 4, you'll be able to run on medium settings at around 30-40 fps. Not 100% smooth but definitely playable. In other words, the gameplay was fine but not perfect. A little update on that…
Well, I can't speak for someone who has an established game as I just started playing. However, on my iMac with Retina 5K, the load times are very minimal... a few seconds. I get about 30 fps so far in both build and live mode on a 20 x 30 lot with one Sim when playing with ultra settings at 5K resolution. I have the…
I just got the Retina iMac with upgraded processor (4 GHz i7) and 16gb RAM, and on Ultra settings at 5K resolution I get about 20-30 fps, which is very playable for me. I can reduce the resolution and nearly double the FPS, but I'd rather not lose the beautiful 5K display.
Thanks. Yeah, I was thinking about the quad core, although I didn't want the larger 15in screen. I like the smaller MacBook pros. Plus, price was much higher. So, I opted for some upgrades to the processor and ram which hopefully make a difference in performance.
I'm awaiting for the arrival of my new MacBook Pro and will l most likely be getting TS4 for it. Here's the Specs: 3.1GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz 16GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM 256GB PCIe-based Flash Storage Intel Iris Graphics 6100 Now, I know I meet the minimum requirements, but wouldn't this laptop…
KO, I'm glad you've chosen the Warehouse District. I love the industrial condos there. They actually have condos in the Warehouse District called "The Cotton Mill Condos" which are very beautiful (and very expensive). Good luck, your entry looks go so far, as does everyone's.
What a great first build! And a Victorian? WOW! I love the pink throughout. You've utilized space and the flow of the home is very nice. The interiors are done very well and so is the landscaping. Good job. I'm entering that contest as well, and I wish you the best of luck. A recommendation from me!
Love your cottage, Yanti! You have a way with combining textures and colors that look just so authentic and beautiful! Aside from the lovely exterior and interiors, what I love about your builds, and espe ially this one, is the functionality you put into the home. There's so much to look at and to do, and every wall and…
Thanks, Fid. I don't think so, but I'm going to check to make sure. I have an idea for what I can do with the wall to the left of the pool table. There were come slanted columns that came with Lucky Palms that I'm going to see if I can make something out of. I think the rug looks better straightened out as well.
Thanks, Fid. I understand where you're at with the grey. luckyheather: Hey, I noticed about that light very soon after I posted the photos, since then it's been changed. Thanks for letting me know, though.
Thanks for the comments and compliments, K2. I took a look at that tutorial you posted. It looks very interesting indeed. I don't think I'll use it for this particular build as its a small lot and I've already begun, but I'm definitely going to keep it in my back pocket for future use. For the interiors, the reason I had…
Actually, I took inspiration from a few earth berm homes I looked up. Not exactly a replica, but I guess you could say that it's "inspired" by them. I'm didn't mention Earth Berm Homes as I figured no one would know what they are. I'm glad you recognized it. Thanks.
Thanks, Fid. It does kind of look like a storm cellar. If it floods, well.... umm, So, here's an update on it: The point of the contest is to pick 1 or 2 colors to use throughout the house. I've chosen grey and turquoise.
