  • @rosemow thank you as always for your lovely comments and feedback on my and many of the other threads from builders. You have no idea how great it is to read all of your support and effort you put into writing your comments. You're simply an amazing person, thank you from the bottom of my heart. @StephSteb welcome in my…
  • This was a long time coming but finally it's finished! This is the first Victorian styled house I've build. I did this as a challenge to myself as I really like the style and flourishes but I personally find it very difficult to do. I also tried my best to use more colour and patterns on the outside and lots of detailing.…
  • Thanks @ciane for confirming my fears. It has taken me the entire afternoon and evening in order to make this work and at the same time look pretty. I now have a dressing room at the lower part of the turret and the actual bathroom is on the top part of the turret. Then in the attic I had a butler's room designed but again…
  • Thank you @rosemow your comments and feedback are always so lovely to read. Makes my day a bit better while struggling with the next build. Time for a deep breath and ask some fellow builders for help. The build I'm currently working on is a Victorian styled house. The exterior was done literally years ago and I needed to…
  • It has been a long time but the first project from a few years ago is finished! The house itself was already done so I only had to finish landscaping and the interior decorating. Something easy to get back into simming. TinkerBelle Cottage is build for a fairy sim that loves the outdoors. You can find the sim I build this…
  • Hi @60smusicluvr the victorian I have saved but it's not finished yet. I will upload it once the interior is done as it's still empty right now. I have finished the fairy cottage already. It was the first old project I finished to get back into building etc. I haven't had time yet to upload it but it's ready to go. Will…
  • @JACKIEJOY Yes, my builds are still CC free. Call me boring. I find it too risky to download stuff from external places. I have no mods or anything inside my game. Instead I bought 90% of the store and all expansion packs ofcourse :)
  • Thanks @rosemow and @ciane it's good to be back! Currently trying my hand on a bakery but I've never build anything besides residential lots. This needs some research on how to get it to work properly. Or rather, how I want it ;)
  • Everyone still alive? Took a while off but am now getting back to it. I was able to get all my saves back into my game so I have a few projects that I worked on years ago. I want to finish them as I still enjoy them looking back at it. Going to be a fun weekend full of building for me :) Glad to be back! Cheers, Minke
  • I had the same problem, I fixed mine because I had a screenshot program installed in the mean time. Mine is Gyazo and it uses ctrl+shift+c as a default to make a screen shot, therefore my game didn't recognize that command and got overruled. I adjusted the default hotkeys of that program and could then open the cheat bar…
  • @TarynTempestwind it took me over an hour yesterday to get back up to date with your builds  totally worth the time to look back and see what you've been up to though! I'm glad you're sticking with Sims3 builds and would love to see more builds in the future. You have such a talent to make a digital house come to…
  • I just had to check out your showcase on the forum! Your builds, woow amazing! Your last build, the resort looks stunning and so real. Loving the architecture and the front of the building. It seems like a real resort that can be in one of those fancy magazines. I can surely do with a nice vacation trip! Looking forward in…
  • Thank you @rosemow and @soocoolsim for stopping by! It's so nice to read your comments, they make my day and feel very welcoming to the community  I'll be finishing this build this week and then it's back to my Victorian styled build. I still have it in my save files but after being away for a year I wanted…
  • Thanks ladies for the support as always! It's much appreciated. I've been working on some landscaping and I started with the kitchen and dining area. It's giving me quite some grief because the idea I have in mind so far isn't working for my sim. She can't use the dining table and chairs, only the bar stools. The…
  • Thanks rosemow you're always so helpful! I've started a new build which is meant for a fairy. I even attempted in making my own fairy sim to go with it. I'm not that great in making sims, this is my 3d sim ever. I just have a tester sim and build houses. But, what can go wrong in create a sim right? There's not a whole lot…
  • Hi everyone, After being away for over a year and a half my new years resolution is to get back into the sims and the community :) I'm Minke, and started playing the sims 1 when it came out (yes, I'm ancient compared to most of you). Soon after that I added the sims 2 to my collection and from there things only got…
  • Hello everyone, I'm alive! After more then a year it's time to get back to the Sims! Past year and a half I've been busy with new responsibilities at work, I found my own place and moved in. I also started a new bsc at uni (I seem to collect them!). I really wanted to adjust my previous posts as the language filter has…
  • Thanks so much GreenCats! I'm finishing the interior and then I'm ready for pictures and will upload another build. A victorian, my very first! Hope to be back soon! Happy Simming! Minke
  • Hi there, This looks so amazing I just had to let you know. You've done a wonderful job in making a huge build look detailed, homely, lived in and cozy. A well deserved rec from me, I'll be sure to check out some of your worlds they must look amazing if you can achieve this with a 64x64 lot ;) Minke
  • Oh gorgeous! Very nicely done, I'm loving the old homely farm vibe you created here. The pond and the waterfall look awesome! Also liking the interior brick patter you've used on the walls. I never would've thought brick walls could look cozy and warm. You made it work very well together. Recommended! Minke
  • Thank you ladies for the rec's, I really really appreciate that! So good to see people actually like something I've created. I know I'm not a seasoned builder yet and still figuring out my style, strengths and weaknesses. Thank you for the comments, feedback and rec's that is what keeps me going in developing myself. And…
  • Thank you everyone for the nice comments! This is inspiring me to continue and build more houses. I have a big one coming up! Currently doing the inside furnishing and it's ready to upload, finally! Minke
  • Hi girls! Thanks for the tips and feedback, I was able to fix up my small laundry so the walls aren't glitching. The stairs however I was unable to get that working correctly and after half a week I'm giving up. For anyone wanting to use the house I suggest cancelling the paper delivery and you have no issues ;) I wanted…
  • Small update! Still need help though :) I've demolished half of the house in order to fit in the laundry room beneath the stilted foundation. However, now there are gaps in the walls where the stilts were previously. Also some parts can't use any wallpaper for some reason. Then there's the issue of the paper delivery boy…
  • Hi everyone, Currently building some new houses and still working on earlier projects. I was in the mood to play in Sunlit Tides again and started building a smaller house on the beach. I've never used the stilted foundation before, so I figured it was about time ;) I do seem to have some routing issues and wanted to ask…
  • Hi Ladies! Sorry it has been a long long while since I was around. Unfortunately not a fun time for me personaly the last 2 months. But it'll get better I'm sure of it. The only good thing that comes out of getting your heart broken is that you need to get distracted. And what better way to do that is building in the Sims!…
  • Hi there, I stumbled on your thread already a while ago and bookmarked it at once. I adore the clothing you designed with new patterns and colors simple adorable! And the starter homes also very well done and good use of items for each individual. Keep up the great work, I'd love to see more. *goes off playing dress up…
  • Cupcakes, sorry boyfriend ate them! :p I do have a cheesecake with chocolate and caramel though that I'm planning on baking :D That enough of a bribe? Yes, I do love cooking and baking :D I'll bring some goodies and snacks to class! Minke
  • Thanks girls! You have no idea how hard this was actually to build lol. The budget oooh horror! I did use some tricks though ;) The outside wallpaper is free and so is the interior one, using CAS you can change the pool wall up just how you want it! The outside one is actually just base game and I made no changes as I do…
  • *hides in shame* After all my pc problems I could finally get back in my game and my own Victorian build. Guess which porch rails I was using?! I do own midnight hollow I loved the roof items that came with it ;) I didn't even realize that's where the fence is from. I also forgot I was using it in my build. Shame on me!…
