Yep, that is one of the fantastic houses on the gallery. It was on the featured list a few months ago and it always impresses me. It makes me want to build more and improve my building and decorating skills.

As far as taking care of needs, I've found that TS3>TS2>TS4>TS1. TS3 sims did take pretty good care of themselves. It made it easier to ignore one sim while taking the other sim around town. In Sims 4, I got to level 7 in the chef career. I've made it higher in Sims 2.

I play with the cutaway walls, but I only started doing that with TS2. I used to play with walls down all of the time until I started being patient enough to fully decorate my sims houses with pictures and lamps on the walls. Not to mention custom paintings!

I actually like the graphics of Sims 2 so much more than how Sims 3 looks. Yes, there are less hair colors and eye colors and skin colors, but the Sim detail is wonderful.

I always liked Dina. She ended up being more than just a cash grabber and always ended up being a really good mom. She would cuddle kids, clean, and make group meals all on her own when I let her do things on her own.

While I agree with you that the Sims might have started out as a parody of life game, I think that The Sims has been a life simulator ever since TS2 when aging was introduced and people really took off with the idea of families and generational play.

I like playing with people watching as long as they don't try to tell me what to do and then get mad at me when I don't do it. Though most of my friends want every one of my sims to woohoo with everybody all of the time for some reason and they don't care who is married to whom.

I think mine is the terrible awful singing when your sim has no creativity skill in the Superstar recording booth. I have no idea why I expected it to be perfect the first time around, but it was always so fun! And the mud baths were a personal favorite as well.

I don't think they have an online romance option yet. But it sounds really cute. I always liked having my sims make online relationships because they felt like so much more work to get really strong.
