  • Yep, that is one of the fantastic houses on the gallery. It was on the featured list a few months ago and it always impresses me. It makes me want to build more and improve my building and decorating skills.
  • This is a neat thread idea! Love: 1. New Build Mode 2. CAS 3. More variety of foods in cooking 4. A variety of drinks with the bar that look like real drinks 5. Being able to place objects close to each other/ kitchen cabinets (I might be in love with build mode) Hate: 1. Game culling sims, dead and alive, with houses you…
  • As far as taking care of needs, I've found that TS3>TS2>TS4>TS1. TS3 sims did take pretty good care of themselves. It made it easier to ignore one sim while taking the other sim around town. And it took at least three full days to starve one. In fact, I had one sim who was about five minutes away from starvation and I said…
  • In Sims 4, I got to level 7 in the chef career. I've made it higher in Sims 2.
  • I play with the cutaway walls, but I only started doing that with TS2. I used to play with walls down all of the time until I started being patient enough to fully decorate my sims houses with pictures and lamps on the walls. Not to mention custom paintings!
  • That is pretty awesome! I have to take my sims to community lots more so I can find stuff like this.
  • Honestly, when that happened I felt embarassed for the gurus because I couldn't tell if they were acting or not. I mean, I get they are trying to pull a younger generation into the game, but if they can't talk about sim woo-hoo with a straight face, then they need to re-evaluate the target for the game. It is rated T for…
  • Awe. That is so sad, but the meme always makes me laugh! Love Futurama.
  • The pictures aren't showing up for me. :'( Challenge sims are really hard though, so I enjoy seeing them.
  • Um, how could Brandi's baby always be a clone of her if I completely make the family from the ground up and have her be a born-in-game Sim? I mean, you are totally right with the pre-made Brandi, but I'm talking about creating a whole new blank town and re-creating everybody's family starting with their parents,…
  • I actually like the graphics of Sims 2 so much more than how Sims 3 looks. Yes, there are less hair colors and eye colors and skin colors, but the Sim detail is wonderful.
  • I'm actually going to re-make all of my town from scratch. I'm going to re-create all of the families and family trees and play out everybody. The only difference will be little things like Nina and Dina won't be half aliens. I am going to cheat Nervous Subject to be the Grimm's kid with Olive Specter though. And Mary-Sue…
  • I have no idea about mods, but what are you having trouble with? For some reason, I don't have much trouble with their needs this time around in TS2, so maybe we have some tips to make managing needs easier for you if you can't find one.
  • Alright, so if you play Sims as a Digipet, then you aren't role playing. So, if you play a RPG like Skyrim as a pure hack 'n slash then you aren't role playing either. But that doesn't make it not a role playing game, right? So, if you can role-play in the Sims, then how does that automatically turn a simulation game into…
  • I always liked Dina. She ended up being more than just a cash grabber and always ended up being a really good mom. She would cuddle kids, clean, and make group meals all on her own when I let her do things on her own.
  • I think we might be getting hung up on wording here. Whenever I think of a role-playing game, I think of a single player-first person view-open world-leveling-sandbox style of play a la Elder Scrolls. When I think of a simulation, I think of The Sims, Sim City, and Train Simulator. The reason why I brought up aging and…
  • While I agree with you that the Sims might have started out as a parody of life game, I think that The Sims has been a life simulator ever since TS2 when aging was introduced and people really took off with the idea of families and generational play.
  • I like playing with people watching as long as they don't try to tell me what to do and then get mad at me when I don't do it. Though most of my friends want every one of my sims to woohoo with everybody all of the time for some reason and they don't care who is married to whom.
  • Well, that was really bad luck! Poor guy. Bees would have been bad enough for that day.
  • I kept seeing The Sims at the store when I was younger (like nine or ten?) and I never wanted to ask my parents to get it because I thought it was related to the Simpsons and I knew they would never let me get it. But then I made a new friend and she had it and was basically astonished that I never played it before. She…
  • I think mine is the terrible awful singing when your sim has no creativity skill in the Superstar recording booth. I have no idea why I expected it to be perfect the first time around, but it was always so fun! And the mud baths were a personal favorite as well.
  • I don't think they have an online romance option yet. But it sounds really cute. I always liked having my sims make online relationships because they felt like so much more work to get really strong.
  • I think this idea with patching everything in came in with the later stages of Sims 3. I mean, when they were making TS2, nothing ever got patched in the base game that was in an expansion unless you got the expansion period. With Sims 3, they started patching in everything so everybody would have the "big base game…
  • That would both suck and be amazing at the same time.
  • Pregnant sims advancing in their pregnancy and giving birth if I rotate to another family.
