Somewhere, someplace Maxis themselves said that everyone should be able to recreate themselves in Sims. IMO that's a huge responsibility but it is what was said. The issue with the darker ones as I see it is how blotchy and bad they look up close, the lighter ones aren't perfect but they don't appear blotchy. So for this…
That's exactly what I was thinking, and instead of looking into her own self she had to make herself better by shaming others. Plus the fact that she is a former employee. ...and this. I am one that was unaware of this. I don't follow gamechangers and Twitter people and neither do I create much in CAS but that's not the…
All I can say about SimGuruKate's twitter post is wow. I do know Sims is an American game and reflects on USA more than any other country, but to say it is bad white people weren't aware? Is she talking about her fellow Americans or all people that play Sims? My game is pretty diverse because of all the Sims the game…
I think the Stuff packs started as an idea after Sims1when CC makers charged a $2/mos "membership fee" for their downloads and made good money on it. As a company, why wouldn't you want part of that revenue? Personally I like them and they have gotten better with time. Like most I am underwhelmed with the ex packs...
This!!! As of now the game has none of the light northern European skin tones but lots of other shades. It doesn't bother me - it's a game, but I think all this noise about how the game has to represent everybody is the times we live in. It is especially apparent here in US.
The round roofs and the mountain in this pic looks just like the game icon to me http://galaxysedgeoutpost.com/backstory-for-batuu-the-resistance-sector-local-batuuans-details-of-the-black-spire-outpost/
Q1: I love the idea of a crosspack! All the examples mentioned are great, except fame. I'd rather see cats playing with yarn as mentioned by other simmers and cozy warm with wearing a sweater is also a cute idea. Q2: I'm fine with crochet like items. Lots of people mix the two up anyway. Q3: I didn't care for any of the…
@tascha Great! I hope you find something. Thank you for your sweet comment on my build. We were on a strict budget building it so I am sure it can use some improvements.
I usually treat my Sims well and this story is maybe more sad than dark. It happened when I had just started playing Sims1. I created my family, mom, dad and two kids, me being mom. I was happily playing with my family until one day "my oldest" was being sent to military school. At the time I didn't know I had to keep him…
Hi, have you tried to use hashtag #inlaws or maybe #generations? I haven't tried it myself but just a thought. I have a build with two houses as well. It was built for a single mom with 2 kids + grandparents. Lots of pictures here if you like to look at it. ( The text underneath the pics refers to a competition I entered…
Thank you sweet @rosemow for taking the time to review my build <3 I'm pleased you like it @AliSim19, thank you! I didn't want to peek at your build before I had posted mine and now I have had time to look at it. I really like how you built the stairs/walkway up to the house and the illusion of them continuing and your…

Hi! There are lots of builders I have run into that use the hashtag #playtested - which means they have tested their games for functionality. Maybe something to try? Wish you good luck house hunting.
Hi @Taoron! I stumbled upon this thread reading the Friday highlights and it sounded like a fun challenge to try out. I've built my version of their chalet and am getting ready to take pictures. My question is - do I have to show every angle of the build like in BnS, or will it be enough with just a general idea of the…
Yes to a countertop stove! We even had one in Sims1, and sunken hot tubs please! I would also like shutters not attached to windows. It would be so easy to make, instead of as of now we have to use a cutting board. :s
Thank you @rosemow for always giving such detailed and lovely reviews! Thank you, all of you that commented on my room <3 @Verman @WrathofCath @sparklili - and for noticing the walls are dark blue, sparklili :p I would like to wish you all a memorable and beautiful holiday!
Hello all! It's been a long time since I entered a challenge here and it's good to see it's still going strong. Now and then I peek into here and this time I felt inspired to make a room so here it is. Challenge 239 Theme for the week: A Christmas dining room. Gallery name of the room: Winter Night Origin id: Mannanna
If it's going to be online they'd better look into making it higher than T- teen. I was pretty innocent when I started playing The Sims Online being an adult at the time. Little did I know ...

@BuildnShare I appreciate you taking some interest in what I have noticed, however I think testing in a different manner than I suggested seems a bit irrelevant.
I voted 50% but I think it depends on the building. Modern needs less and a stricter landscaping in my opinion. I love to landscape but I probably over do it. :) I liked the grand entrance the way it was, I would line the outside of the walkway with plants instead.
@AlJay congrats to your dormitory win! Great build! Love your sign in the front! Congrats to your Ophelia win @pinkusfamily and placing second @SheriGR! Congrats to winning the room and simmies @Devilariah! All the builds in "The spring showdown" were great! So fun to see what came out of the same shell we all started…
Thank you @Kementari @SimsIslandheart and @Mikkiness for responding and showing some interest. I don't think play testing is the issue, I notice changes when I have a Sim on the property while building. I have tried to delete all plants and arts so I don't think that's the issue either. Mod? I can't rule that out…
@Pinkusfamily I agree, it is a challenge, and mainly why I participate. However, I am very much fairness for all so I wanted people to be aware of this. It's a cheat in a way ... even though I think most of us aren't trying to. I tested yours and because you save the way you do it's not much.
