Me, too! I didn't have anything on the old list that I wanted coming up for a few more days so I only happened to check the site on a whim, thinking I might poke at MMAO and see if anything other than boater hats came out. Missed Amore by a good amount but I'm glad to see it's a new, no sellout list this time! I might…
I get the Five Star ads all the time and it's funny to me because I actually bought the originals when they first came out to use in high school. That was at least 8 years ago now and the binders are still in really good condition. I don't really need to buy any more since I'm out of school and I still have the old ones…
I built an apartment with a rooftop deck. You can get the lot here if you'd like. And don't worry - the uploaded version does not come with the broken sinks, charred furniture, urns, or dirty dishes. ;)
No luck for me. I got the "confirm purchase" window to come up on the set page but it hung for a bit and switched to Liam. Doubt I'll get the next one - it's 3am ish for me. Hope everyone who got WoW enjoys it and fingers crossed that we see a lot more of that venue in the upcoming sales and new DD list.
I got a virus so I had to completely reinstall my computer and all of my games. Between that, work, and family visiting, I haven't had much of a chance to play. Thankfully, I do have my pre-virus sims folder backed up in a bunch of places so I didn't lose much. Once I get back in game, I'm going to be working on a suburban…
This is what I was referring to with the bartenders. As far as I understand it, the bartenders are townies, not NPCs, so they're randomly pulled from the neighborhood sims instead of being permanently assigned that one job at that one bar. I prefer that NPC style like TS3 had as I like to make my own NPCs that match the…
I don't get this argument. TS3 base game came with parks, graveyards, public pools, libraries, gyms, galleries, beaches, fishing holes, and basic lots you could set as visitors allowed or not allowed. That's a lot more open lot types than TS4. The only thing missing in base game TS3 is the lounge/bar lot type and you could…
I feel the same. The venues don't really feel like they belong in most worlds. I like building so it makes more sense for me to, say, take Duke of Bows and make one of the seasonal festivals in a park into a Renaissance Faire, then turn another season's festival into a carnival with the carousel, rock climbing walls, and…
Sorry for you and everyone else who missed it. I hope they put up a new list soon with even deeper discounts and you get to snag it then at an even better price.
Under a minute, I'd say. I was refreshing every few seconds once the microwave hit 97% and the Boardwalk was at 61% sold once my purchase went through.
Twallan's Tempest mod will let you fine tune the weather for your town in TS3. You can have winter without snow; rain but only light rain; short, intense, and rare thunderstorms; 24/7 hail; all sun, all the time; year-round 85 degree weather; whatever you want for your town's climate without losing the holidays and…
TS4 is 32 bit. It's compatible with your system. I would check all of your other specs against the minimum and recommended specs, though - 32 bit systems tend to be older so it's possible your computer won't meet one of the other requirements or it's not over the minimums enough to run well.
I generally think of every one to two sim days as a year. So that'd be less than $4000 per year in bills for water, electricity, gas, tv, internet, cell phone (and TS4 sims all have a big data plan for their smartphones!), etc. That's about $300 per month, which is more than reasonable for all of those bills for a middle…
Hm, consistent upgrades... That's hard. The only other one coming to mind for me is body sculpting. We've gotten more and more options for body parts to adjust with each game. I really hope TS4's butt/thigh/calf/feet/arms/shoulder/waist/neck adjusters all make it into TS5. ETA: Maybe food/cooking also? I don't really…
There's probably still going to be the fake traffic in those worlds, though. Instead of removing functional cars altogether, I wish there were an option to turn off cars for specific worlds and to select the default transportation type for your world. That way you could choose between horse-drawn carriages, walking,…
I have 185GB for the Bootcamp side and 745 GB for the Mac side. The Bootcamp side is feeling a bit cramped now with basically all of the TS3 expansions, stuff packs, and DLC, so I wish I'd bumped that up to at least 250GB for the Bootcamp partition. Yes, that's how it works! I originally just used my iMac as a Mac but then…
That's exactly what I want in my Sims games - as many options as possible to accommodate as many different play styles as possible. With good planning, I don't think that's an impossible task. They should take the best parts of TS2, TS3, and TS4 and the most popular mods and combine them.
You can install Origin games on multiple computers. You might not be able to run both at the same time, but you can install it on both and see what you prefer.
It's definitely common in apartments, at least where I live. That said, I would've liked the sprinklers as an option on top of having the firefighters. More townies and NPCs around to add to your sims' gene pool is always a plus.
You can definitely combine the Showtime lots with the Late Night lots. More than just Late Night lots, actually - there's support for combining some of the base game and Pets lots, too. This is my go-to guide for putting Showtime stages on other lots. The only issue I've heard of people having is if the non-Showtime lot…
Hate to break it to you, but there is no police or medical career in TS4. Here's the full list: Entertainer: Musician/Comedian Writer: Author/Journalist Painter: Master of the Real/Patron of the Arts Secret Agent: Diamond Agent/Villain Criminal: Boss/Oracle Astronomer: Space Ranger/Smuggler Culinary: Chef/Mixologist Tech…
I think the trolls dropping nasty images in the TS4 General Discussion may have something to do with it, too. I think they're hoping that if you have to be an established, well-liked member to post images, it'll cut down on the trolling. Not a terrible idea in theory, but new members can still upload whatever profile image…
Thank you, Rose! I've been thinking about setting up a site for Hidden Springs for a while now, so this was as good of a reason as any to finally make the jump! Now I just need to get my old lots up there...
Somewhere between 2 and 6. In its current state at its current price? No way. If by some miracle the developers release a bunch of free patches that add many of the missing features back in AND the price drops? I'd consider it. I am still content to play TS3, though, and I have three new games I'm excited for in the next…
