Playing with the base game from TS1 to TS3 was a delight. TS4 gave me buyers remorse within minutes of playing in live mode lol. That will be my last base game experience. I'm not buying TS5.
That's terrible! I'm glad to hear your granddaughter is okay under the circumstances. I pray she makes a speedy recovery. And for you to be granted strength to visit her and support her throughout this difficult time.
1. Free babies 2. Fixed family trees without a connection to tombstones. And recognition of extended family (cousins, great aunt, great uncle, in-laws, etc). At least mark them as "relatives." 3. Ability to ask friends/relatives to babysit. 4. Slumber parties. 5. Complete NPC population control. Give me a number of…
I already felt indifferent for TS5. So far it sounds like a deeper fall into the social pit of mobile games. You'd think they would showcase the sims instead of a decor simulator, which is fine because it's part of the game. But The Sims should be the main focus. ETA: but then again I feel like TS4 has slowly turned into a…
Haven't updated my game since March so I'm doing just fine. Unfortunately with the upcoming baby patch I'll have to get ready to update by next year. Logic dictates I should wait for extra fixes after the baby update. But I've done my waiting! 8 years of it, in TS4! :D
Not suggesting dlc objects since I'm not investing more money in this game. However I would love if the patch added the ability to invite relatives/friends to babysit babies, toddlers and children (even though they can stay home alone). Been wanting this forever.
Finally! I wished the team had kept it a secret like the Toddlers surprise patch. The reaction around the forum and the trailer reveal is one of my favorite simming memories. Plus 2023 is too far away.
Been here since March. I'd rather play with a broken "outdated" game than play with a broken game full of bloatware. Meaning forced features I don't care about. Some with broken toggles that keep pushing the game into the opposite of "you rule." My collection stops at Cottage Living (which my sister wanted to buy). MWS and…
Just looked at the HSY's picture thread. The photo booth has the romantic poses I wanted from the Moschino Stuff pack. So after 3 packs (including base game) related to in-game photography they finally made it work. Fingers crossed for a patch to add the photo booth to the BG someday. Like they did with Get to Work's…
I see the sims are still living in Twitterselves nation instead of Sim Nation. Hard to see the difference between HSY and University with the lack of parents and siblings in the trailer. Why not show how parents react when teens sneak out? Why not show a moody teen hanging out with the family at the pier? Or being stuck…
This is all on EA. They place the gurus to be friendly with the "community" by communicating the good, the bad and the hype in that wasteland called Twitter et al. At the same time, they expose them to receive the brunt of EA's mistakes. I would have reduced the sim gurus social media presence from the start. Even…
I'm the same way. I love throwing wedding parties. I'm not paying for a broken update pack that needs mods and workarounds to function. Leave me with my lesser Base Game weddings and mods to enhance it.
Imagine selling a wedding pack where the happiest customers are the ones who didn't care for weddings in the first place. Just had another thought to share.
I have already decided TS4 is the end of the simming road for me. Can't even buy the wedding pack and it's something I really wanted. I'm waiting for an update to free the babies among other things, but I know it's unlikely. After MWS, the quality of TS4's future packs/content is looking grim-er. I think EA will stick to…
I don't have the pack so I only have the pictures as reference. But I get what you are saying. When I saw the connecting stairs between terrains I was like "again?" It feels like a world placed over the usual layout, pretty much like the town from Cottage Living. Concrete steps all over the place. The wedding arch area…
I would have probably bought this years ago if it had come out after the survey. Now, I thought of waiting for a sale. But I shouldn't have to pay for a broken wedding update glued together with the help of mods. I have been enjoying BG weddings just fine with the help of mods and cc. So why pay for a buggy wedding update…
We finally get a new (I think) design of Male clothing and of course it's burked. Ugh, bumping heads after the "I do's"? As if kissing in this game wasn't already a problem. Most romantic animations are like watching two spoons kissing. Something less "cutesy clumsy" like the "kiss in the water" from IL would have been…
I have forgotten that detail. Haven't had a Clumsy sim in ages and it shows lol. I wonder if they will vary the feeding animation from now on. Going to edit my post to avoid confusion.
RE: Wedding cake animation ETA: It's no surprise they keep "re-selling" existing content/animation. Like placing those BG clay and voodoo dolls to the City Living festivals.
Think of those poor tables and counters that have no function since sims forget to eat there sometimes. Sims could have danced on the counters like in TS3.
I agree. I want the pizza oven from Monte Vista (TS3). They could have added the "go for a ride together" option for the vespas. But then again all we got in Island Living were solo water rides...
