  • Doing a set of tasks over and over have never been the game's strength in my opinion, I think it instead comes from being able to do things differently by using different sims, unlocking new ways to play and build what you want to accomplish it. For example the things we could craft in the Scientist career, the research…
  • I kinda like these Behind The Sims livestreams, at least when they showcase new content in them, they feel a bit more professional. I'm guessing this will be the new way they will present new content for all Sims games from now on. But as long as they are showing new content, I'm not really interested in their marketing…
  • I mean... On sale, I guess it's worth it, the pack does not have any larger bugs as far as I know. If you like to make outfits with trendi, use the gen z inspired clothing and also want more rabbit holes for your teens (jobs and after school activities) and maybe you would like to build some rooms for your teen sims and…
  • Very low textures and details. It's good that the community are reacting to it because EA should really not set the requirements this low and people shouldn't have to point this out. Feels very different compared to some of their better kits that they have released.
  • That is an interesting take, I would have preferred if they had focused on the actual high school itself with active classes like arts, music and chemistry, classes would have worked kinda like organizations from Discover University but taking place in different classrooms at the high school and after school activities…
  • I'm not sure, I think they kinda ruined the game with the wants and fears update so I have not updated my game since that. I saw the pictures of the items too and there is nothing there that I feel that I really want so I might just wait until they will update the game with some interesting gameplay.
  • Yeah, I agree. The cars in the game feels like they were most likely designed to just be in the background and not meant to be looked at up close, they are quite large and are hovering slightly above the ground with no animations for the wheels. If they will add cars then they probably should make more detailed and varied…
  • I have seen it too, generally it tends to work if you assign a bed for them (doesn't matter if the sim looks frustrated) and then you send your sims to bed, if your pet get up you stop fast forwarding, and then fast forward again, then at least my pets tend to go to their assigned bed.
  • The game and everything in it follows the recommended rating. PEGI 12. This is the definition of PEGI 12 on PEGI's homepage: Video games that show violence of a slightly more graphic nature towards fantasy characters or non-realistic violence towards human-like characters would fall in this age category. Sexual innuendo or…
  • I do have a simself (my avatar), but much like many other of my sims I only played him for a while until I reached some sort of "goal" and after that I tend to let my sims live somewhere in a save where aging is turned off. I thought it was weird in the beginning but after a while I got used to playing him. It's fun to use…
  • Sims getting up and leaving in the middle of the exam has not been fixed, no. Littlemssam has made a mod which sort of fixes it if you don't mind using mods. I would say the state of the game makes it not safe to update yet, but that's something that every user have to decide for themselves. I think they went too far with…
  • When we discussed plants going back to dirt piles on the forums some modders helped finding out some things that might help you: * Using low quality fertilizer can cause plants to go back to dirt piles. * Having a season change (for example spring to summer) when not on the home lot can cause your sheltered plants planted…
  • Yes, Werewolves and High School Years was released very close to each other and after that we did not really get much content for the rest of the year. We did get some kits and base game updates but several of the base game updates also felt rushed and not tested enough and on top of that there were bugs like not allowing…
  • Happy New Year. May this year bring something for all simmers out there.
  • I hope so, we have gotten so many hints, or not-hints for cars over the years so I hope that we will finally get them. I think there is a lot of potential for cars in the sims4. Cars could have conditions, different types of engines with different fuel economy (petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric), travel bonuses,…
  • Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
  • I'm mostly hoping that they will add a lot of features to the base game so they will not struggle with making content for future packs. The Sims 4 often had a problem with not having a lot of lots in the base game so a lot of new worlds ended up with bars and libraries. Hopefully Rene will have a lot of different lots so…
  • High School Pack is not worth it at full price in my opinion. + CAS items are very good, very gen z, if that's what you want your teens to wear. And you can also create outfits and sell on Trendi. + Build items are very good, good for making rooms that look more like rooms for teens. + Teens will behave more like teens. -…
  • It feels like they kinda had the resources to make an art class, music class, gym class etc. for High School Years. All those items were already there in the base game... If they could coordinate a bunch of sims to go and sit down at a desk then it feels like they would have been able to tell sims to go and pick an…
  • Attention to detail is something that I have often liked in video games, it adds to the immersion that you actually are in the world and doing something or eating something...in this case. Good graphics adds to that immersion. The food in The Sims 4 can look pretty different, some food that they added in Cottage Living…
  • I'm not sure either. Maxis seems to do things a bit differently now. It could be the effects of covid/working from home but with their new studio logo and with them also recruiting people it could be that they have shifted things around and maybe will still shift things around. More people will work on Project Rene so in…
  • I tried, really tried to like wants and fears, but the "fear of dead-end job" and "fear of unwanted dreams" were just so repetitive that I gave up recently and disabled fears with a mod, because we can't even turn them off because of a bug. From what I can tell, "fear of dead-end job" seems to be just a timer, doesn't…
  • If you follow a sim to high school or work while the other sims in the household are eating breakfast then their plates with food will still be on the table when you get back in the afternoon so you have to clean it up.
  • I switched over to the EA App in October and it has worked fine for me playing The Sims 4 in offline mode, I didn't need to update the game when I switched from Origin. I was hesitant at first too, I generally don't like to change programs... but I got used to it after a month. The design is good, it's darker, more modern…
  • Eco Lifestyle. I had a bad experience in the beginning with it with Neighborhood Action Plans, and the bugs related to them. And the pack also has some strange items like the meat wall and the insect farm and the traits are giving you more trouble than benefits. But other than that, fabricating and making your own items,…
  • Being fully aware that there are people here on the forum that like this pack... the animations, the clothes and the world is good and I liked playing the pack for a couple of days. But the main reason why I would classify this pack as "worst" is because it is so limiting. With the other packs I was able to build, create…
  • Based on what you said, Eco Lifestyle, Island Living or Snowy Escape. Eco Lifestyle has some good NPC sims but the world is not that interesting, it also comes with some settings that you might want to turn off like neighborhood action plans. Island Living has a nice looking world but there is not much to do in it. You…
