I love having the a search feature, I've wanted one since Sims 2. But if you don't remember what things are called, it's worthless. There are so many things to look through too, it's easy to miss things. I've definitely spent ridiculous amounts of time searching through the catalogue.

That happens. *shrug* Hopefully you can get everything sorted out. I just went through my mountain of CC a couple months ago, trying to identify an outfit that had gone invisible at some point, like maybe I lost an attached mesh.

I've never had a Prima guide, but based on what others who have used them have said, they seem to have been largely written when the packs were still in development. They always had things in them that were no longer true.

When I'm playing, I just listen to the game. I like to hear everything, down to the birds chirping in the background. When I'm building, I have an iTunes playlist with all the Sims music in it that I listen to. Sims 1-4 PC, Console, and DS; Sims Online, Bustin' Out, Urbz, even MySims, anything I could get my hands on.

I've never made a generic lot, apparently that's bad advice. I have made a spa and a thriftea store though, and both of those spawned workers and a bartender (in the case of the spa).

I use very little social media. I run a FB group and we have a discord server. But I've never used any of the other platforms and oddly enough, neither have my kids. They only use discord. But when it comes to Sims forums, I'm there! Have been since Sims 2. They add something to the experience I guess.
