I'd say get Dine Out or Jungle Adventure for now, but don't write off Parenthood for good. I'm actually not a family player, but Parenthood filled in the younger life stages enough that it wasn't excruciatingly boring for my sims to have children anymore. If you see it on sale later, definitely get it, if just to make…
My favorite part of your review! I don't know if this pack is for me (maybe when it's on sale?), but I can't fault the Sims team for being inventive. Big kudos to them for having the guts to try something totally new. <3
I actually think a story-focused pack could jive really well with the Sims, but not this. Since the mystery is the focus of the pack, I was hoping for either a couple possible endings or a few paths to the same ending. Like, your sim's choices would determine the tone of the mystery. Actions would have consequences. Maybe…
Sadly, this has been an issue since Seasons released. :( https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-S-Low-payment-for-botanist-career/m-p/6889065#M65452
Same. Somebody posted it to EA Answers HQ here so hopefully it will get some attention. My sim's coworkers are getting put in some pretty great outfits though! :D
It fixed it for my corrupted household without me doing anything on my end (no repair game, no cache clearing, etc.). I encountered the bug last night just before turning in, so I didn't feel like trying any of the workarounds Crin posted. Luckily, the patch seems to fix it regardless.
Yeah, it's kind of annoying. Also, I don't think you have to get a notification that your sim was nominated for them to win something. I just had my sim show up to the awards ceremony one week to schmooze and gorge himself on caviar crackers and he won two awards. :# (Granted, this was as a Global Superstar with a whole…
Weird. Thorne Bailey is actually super mild in the two saves I've played so far in GF. Dirk Dreamer is the one who's always posing, waving at the paparazzi, and generally being rude to my sims.
Patch notes are here: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/951590/november-20th-2018-patch-notes A little bummed that the lifestyle brand wasn't on this patch, but as long as the CAS bug got fixed, I'm happy.
So THAT's what happened! I didn't make the connection when my sim came home early from work. I thought maybe I had accidentally called her home from work or something. I don't usually have sims pack their lunches, so not a huge deal for me. :# I've had that happen too, but only in a penthouse. Glad it's not just me.
In my experience, a holiday from Seasons or a club gathering with sad/mourning club activities from Get Together works better than just a straight party for funerals. For the holiday, you can add the Remembrance tradition, which will prompt the NPCs and your own sims (if you have autonomy turned on) to go mourn at the…
Not really a storyline, but a couple things that make any game more interesting is sticking to some constraints while simultaneously trying to push them as hard as you can. Like, right now I'm playing a sort of nasty rich family in San Myshuno getting ready for the new reputation system. I wanted them to be self-made with…
Yes, this! I don't think they ever answered that question. Unless the answer is that you don't and you just create a set on another lot without the attached director, makeup, wardrobe NPCs.
Unless a dog is a focal point of a family I'm playing, I only ever consider adding a cat. The timing and frequencies for pet-related activities are all wonky. The pets get sick waaaay more frequently than sims and walking the dog can take half. the. day. Even the short walk takes several hours. That's why I get the cats--…
I think everything in the trailer looks perfectly fine, but I'll wait for a sale. My general feeling with most TS4 EPs is that gameplay is a little shallow, and in the rare cases when it isn't, the EP lacks breadth. This one looks like it might have less than other EPs, so I'm fine with waiting for the price to come down a…
Yeah. My point opening this thread wasn't necessarily that the career isn't paying fairly-- you make so much off of harvestables and flower arrangements that it doesn't really matter. In fact, the hourly wage on top of all of that would even be a bit excessive. My point is that the hourly wage system doesn't seem to work…
True, but then why give an hourly wage at all? If it's intended to work that way, it doesn't make sense to list an hourly wage and then pay a flat $10 by default.
As an added testament, I had the same issue and was worried moving out of the apartments wouldn't fix the issues... but it has! I know it's a bummer to leave apartments behind until the bug gets fixed (I love setting my sims up in the city!), but rest assured that the bug shouldn't follow you to a house.
