As I pointed out in a earlier post, it will most certainly be YA and up only UNLESS they make changes to how the education system works. That being said, they redid gardening for Seasons, and fishing or Island Living, so a grade school/high school overhaul BEFORE Uni comes out is a strong possibility.
On one hand, I can now make a sensible story with my Ultimate/Super Sim Challenge, and am sure this pack will come with some cool stuff that I will enjoy playing with. And it will hopefully silence the anti-occult/pro uni crowd who have been putting down everything that isn't Uni. On the other, if this pack isn't to their…
Well, to be fair, it IS a magical pack. If I had no knowledge of lilsimsie and was unaware people were mad about it, I would just think it's meant to a be a weird magical or even whimsical thing. Ever heard of the Winchester House? Pretty sure Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory (which thanks to James Turner's video now makes…
Yeah, nothing against lilsimsie, and bias towards one aspect of the game makes her a great resource for that aspect of the game. And what she said about the town/builds in her video is absolutely worth noting. It's more people gushing about how honest a negative review is. Which really extends beyond her and this pack.…
One thing I don't particularly like is this idea that honesty = not positive. No disrespect to lilsimsie, but people were just gushing in her comments over her honesty. It kind of seemed like they were all implying that positive reviews aren't honest. If maybe there hadn't been so much negativity recently in the Sims…
I feel as though people may not mind buying Cats and Dogs along with a pack that includes horses, especially if it was indeed a Country/Rustic/Rural pack, assuming they do not have Cats and Dogs already, especially if wasn't quite "you MUST have Cats and Dogs for this to work" and more "it's highly recommended that you get…
I would LOVE to have an off the grid witch who lives out in the country with her animals (cats, dogs AND horses!), and uses magic for her day to day life! Best of both occult and realism!
A plain old "horses, lol" pack seems a little out of left field and not enough for a EP unless it were with some sort of rural/country life/farming pack. I think a farming pack to introduce horses and then later on a "hobby/free time/money making" pack that included things like gambling, dog and horse shows, and races…
Yeah, not looking forward to the University whiners. But I will, however, look forward to farming, and hope it comes with further improvements to Off the Grid and gardening. I know Seasons and RoM already offer some gardening expansion, but it's not like it can't be tuned up more. Not to mention mixing Off the Grid…
I don't believe the dataminer is lying but I'm going to hold off on getting excited just in case there's some other explanation for this. Such as horses being something they were only testing and they just forgot to remove the code, or the dev team adding it in to throw off dataminers. A farming pack that adds classic farm…
I think a lot of simmers come off demanding and entitled instead of "just asking for things they would like in the game to tell their story". It's one thing to say "It's weird x is missing and hope it gets added before they move on to Sims 5 and kind of frustrates me", but it's another to say "I literally can't play the…
Magical creatures roaming the world, maybe. Could be one creature that's really detailed (probably a dragon?) or several things that are not as detailed
I really wish people would stop with this "what we want" entitlement. And no, I don't think Sims 4 is perfect, nor do I believe that the team who works on it are above criticism, but it's clear that the game is not finished and is still growing and expanding. Yes, I'm aware that it's been out 5 years. But it's still not…
I don't mind the theme. In fact, it makes the most sense for certain sims (i.e. a super smart scientist/astronaut/doctor, a very talented artist, or really anyone you want to be super sucessful) but I'm quite tired of people crying about how bad they want it, and how they'll be unhappy with literally anything they get…
I hope we get some info and a release date soon, haha. I'm already planning out a YT LP and have a house built (using mostly Vampires GP stuff, but I plan on renovating it with some of the Realm of Magic B/B stuff!) I, too, feel like "info early September, release mid-late September" sounds reasonable! I just hope we're…
Never mind on giving me ideas on attempts to recover my photos. I've already exited without saving and will just play through the episode again, making sure I save after pictures. . Either that or travel back home and put them on the walls. I can only assume by the silence that this must not be real common; if many people…
Anyone have any suggestions? I've had my game open and unsaved just in case there's something I can do before saving to bring my Sim's photos back to his inventory. Does anyone know if they might pop back up if I save and exit?
I just went ahead and tested it myself. I am quite disappointed to say you aren't allowed to have both a freelance career and a part time job. Since freelancers don't have a set schedule at all, I'm sure that you can't hold a part time job and full time job either, regardless of whether they conflict. I'm actually quite…
I am aware I could just pop a test sim in m game and find out myself, BUT I am about to spend quite some time recording building, so I thought I'd just ask and maybe get a quick answer. Has anyone tested freelance career and part time jobs together yet
I don't see why the freelance career wouldn't work with any job. It doesn't have hours like @WildIrishBanshee has said. You're given plenty of time to do the tasks, as well. You could easily balance the Writer/Painter/Tech Guru career with their freelance counterparts without an issue. Your freelance would just be a tad…
Fair point. But that too is fairly realistic. I mean, most of the reason people would work 2 jobs is money. So with a promotion and/or raise, a person may choose to quit that part time job because the promotion/raise (along with any other perks that comes with) has helped.
Do we know if an adult Sim can hold a part time job AND a full time job if they do not conflict? IIRC, there are a number of base game part time jobs that are JUST on weekdays and at least one part time job thats only on weekends. Fairly sure there are plenty of options to not have them conflict. Also, the freelance career…
As far as I am concerned, this pack feels pretty full. While I may have to have a save file with someone living in Sulani to experience the pack fully, I will still be able to enjoy new careers, pool loungers, the pool floaties, and even the ski doos in the pools if I were to decide to make a pool somewhere large enough…
@BlueSeaWaves I couldn't remember whether it was him, lilsimsie or someone else who'd said that! That makes sense! Oh and we're getting the career unlocks, as well. @EmmaVane I wonder if the fishing overhaul will make fishing harder. The gardening overhaul made it harder.
I know we're getting door swatches, Pride items, lounge chairs, a new foundation, and I believe a toilet swatch to match the new bathroom items in Island living (?) (heard on one of the GameChanger's overview videos, not sure if they were mistaken, or if I misunderstood, please don't get angry at me if we are not getting a…
