Yes - I know they don't like us to report broken things here, but at least we know that it's not just us, it's happening to everyone. Still, I sympathise that you took a day off, and can't get the download! (I can't even open the game, but not a big deal, since I'm trying to download while at lunch. At least, I didn't take…
I'd really like to see something before the expansion update. Also, if there are issues with the babies (and there will be - not being negative, just realistic about the amount of programming involved), it would give them time to resolve the issues before the expansion.
::cries:: I was so hoping for yesterday, but really, they don't usually release an update just before a holiday weekend in case they seriously break something (as in 'crashing to desktop'). Better be the 19th, or I shall throw a tantrum.
Babies! Babies! Babies! When, please? I am literally planning my life around this drop - I need to start an online class, and I'm putting it off so that I'll have time to play with the babies... .
Okay, since they finally got the bloody werewolves out of the way (I knew it was coming, I know lots of people wanted it, so I'm happy it's finally done), it seems logical that the next EP would be family-based. 'High School' is a little limiting, considering that there are players all over the world, and the US concept of…
Babies are pretty simple: if they are crying and do not need a diaper change, I feed them, cuddle and rock them. They will sleep or be awake and happy green until diaper change. Change the diaper, coo at them and make a silly face. (Don't talk to them - your Sim will complain about the stinky diaper half the time, and this…
I've been so unexcited about the game lately - no new EP in the fall/winter, the game pack was okay, but I'm not into weddings, and I really loathe werewolves...but finally! Something for kids! (And please, please, please a few things toddlers can interact with?)
I quite enjoyed the frog scenario (though, I'm wondering if a frog enthusiast would really cook boiling hot frog pot.) Love the new Middle-eastern dishes - that and Mexican-southwest are my favourite foods. I hadn't noticed the cacti - I'll have to add some to my frog-enthusiast's house. Very nice!
Yes, that's the primary reason I don't use them. Really, the only reason. I used them quite a bit in S1, 2 and 3, but now that we're getting patches all the time, I don't want to bother with them. (It was getting to be a bit of a pain in S3, but it was completely unplayable without a mod to reset stuck Sims.)
Agree - selected the 'theme didn't appeal' to me option, but it didn't ask anything else. I didn't buy the Carnaval kit for the same reason - some of the stuff was cute, but none of the clothes were the sort my Sims would wear. (I might wear them, or the younger me might have worn them :p , but not my Sims). I've really…
One thing I'm enjoying with this pack is the dresses. Not for weddings, but for my olden-times stories: several of them work quite nicely for that. That and the new hairs probably make the pack worth the price for me.
Yes - I've been through a couple of 'years' now in Tartosa. Lots of thunderstorms in winter. It was not hot at all during two summers. I don't have a lot of experience with the Mediterranean - I spent a week in Crete in the spring and a month in Aix-en-Provence (which isn't on the ocean, but not far) in the summer, and…
The soybean plant yields wax, but only one cube (one candle) per day. It does produce wax out-of-season, however. I agree about the NAPs - I have mine set to allowing only playable Sims to vote, which means that you decide what NAP is enacted. (It'll start out with a random NAP, but the only effect that has is to allow…
It doesn't rain all the time, but more than I'd expect along the Mediterranean, and the summer isn't hot at all. (So far - I've only played one summer, and seasons do vary in the game. I've had winters that never get to freezing followed by winters that have constant snow in the game, so I don't want to make an assumption…
I had a hard time finding them when it was raining, and I'd had no trouble before, and I knew where the spawners were. I'd imagine they aren't easy to find in the dark, either.
Also: if you have the pack with flower arranging (Seasons?), you can make your own wedding bouquets. (I think this was suggested before, but I wasn't sure it had been implemented.)
I'm not so sure they have anything but regular mood effects, now: when I started to line them up, I realised that they came in different colours that presumably correspond to regular moods (inspired, focused, etc). The orange-brown bottles do cause a tense mood. I started a new save, however, and I haven't found a few of…
The message bottles have moodlet effects when placed in the room and the mood effect is turned on. Each bottle can have different effects: one from Grim made my Sim tense, and another was inspiring. The message determines the mood. I haven't tried them all, but I think one would make your Sims clumsy and another playful.…
That was the first thing my Sims did when they got to their new house - I wanted to make sure the dance floor would work where I'd placed it, and to see if they needed a stereo (they didn't). They had no skills, of course, since they were fresh out of CAS, and one Sim stepped on the other's foot, apparently. His fiancé was…
No mods at all. I haven't had any lag in the game since I got a new computer...until now, and this is about as bad as lag ever got. Worse, my Sims keep freezing, especially when using the outrigger canoe, but also when they're washing their hands or something equally complicated. (I eventually have to use testing cheats to…
Unless a pack has something I definitely don't want in my game (like paparazzi or vampires), I'm usually a first-day buyer. There are a few stuff packs and kits that really don't have anything to interest me. (I lived in the 80s, I'm still traumatised. I don't need ugly workout clothes for my Sims.) I love starting a new…
I've never had a wedding in all my years of Simming and don't plan to start (anything that involves multiple NPCs is going to be a mess, and weddings have never been my thing, anyway), but I did want the world. The pack's a bit thin if you're not interested in the main attraction. I'm a little disappointed that there are…
