I have made those phone calls, like I said they're useless. They don't know anything more than the chat guys and they try to give you ways to 'fix your problem' that will actually ruin your Mac if you do it. They know nothing about Mac's, that much I learned.
So they're not guna fix Sims 3 for us Mac users now then. Hmm, I'm going to try my hardest to get refunded on all the money I spent on their unplayable game now. Hopefully Sims 4 will be native.. but honestly, I'm not even excited for it. Excitement + EA = Disappointment.
I've also given up with the Sims now. But I refuse to install Windows on my Mac. I wanted a Mac, that is why I bought it, it runs everything else I want to do flawlessly, I like the Mac OS and if EA can't make their product work properly on it then I'm not interested.
Completely agree with this. This is basically EA; 'So.. should we start fixing the game for the Mac users?' 'What? Haha nooo, they'll buy the next EP anyway, there's no need to make it work. The money keeps on comin' anyway!'
Has it hell, it's still crashing just like before. In fact, it even crashed slightly earlier than it did before. But honestly, I don't give a **** anymore. EA's not getting another penny off me whether they fix this issue or not, so honestly I'm passed the point of caring now. No wonder EA were voted the worst company. In…
every time i'm in a chat with EA i'm told my Mac isn't even compatible with the base game never mind any EP'S, which is a laugh because up until Season's it pretty much ran like a dream. My graphics card is *apparently* what's making mine freeze and crash.. sigh.. EA will always blame our Mac's rather than their product.
It might run the Sims 3 when we finally have a patch to fix all of our problems, until then I highly doubt it. It's not a problem with Mac's though, your Mac will be fine, it's a problem with the game.
I'm not buying anything from EA again, I agree with you, it's just not worth the hassle. I'm not even going to bother ringing them tbh, I know it's not my Mac that causing the problems, it's their stupid game. My Mac has amazing graphics, I do a lot of digital artwork with it and the graphics are amazing, way better than…
Apparently Time Machine makes it crash too.. even though I'm not running it.. Basically I've just been told to ring a specialised team one day with my case number and they'll help. I really doubt they will and I'd probably get too frustrated actually speaking with people about all this. Just bring out a patch already :(
I. just. want. to. play. Seasons. :!: I am so annoyed like everyone else on the mac. JUST TELL US IF YOU'RE GOING TO FIX THIS ISSUE OR NOT. That way we know for sure, and if the answer is 'no' then I'll just go ahead and throw away my games and never buy anything from EA again. Simple. I'M 100% NOT BUYING UNIVERSITY LIFE I…
Honestly, I just want to be able to play Seasons which we can't at the moment :( I loved Sims 2 University so I'd really love to have it for the Sims 3 but I just don't have the strength to go through buying an EP and not being able to play it for months again. I. Just. Can't. It's majorly disappointing. I'd rather they…
SimGuruSteve - I understand you're not responsible for what the patch fixes or in Mac users case doesn't fix. But please can you get someone who IS in charge of this stuff to tell us when the hell they'll get around to it?! It's seriously ridiculous to bring out a patch that solves petty problems while Mac users are…
Same :( I was SO excited for getting Seasons at Christmas, but I've barely played through 2 Sim days, I haven't seen any rain, snow, frost, nothing :( I miss my game. They need to bring out a patch to fix this, it's ridiculous.
@krimsonnox - thank you! @Starbucaneer - thanks (: @ChelseaSims13 - I love Flavia's eyes too! Haha yeah I think having Vanessa live there is a bit much for Flavia at times :p thanks!
