Update: The problem seems to have fixed itself... for now. It was happening to multiple characters in the same household, replacing their athletic outfit. Still not sure why. Apparently there is some sort of inheritance at play. Otherwise, there's no good reason all 3 would get purple eyes. Oddly, the traits they did get were not from the parent that gave birth to them. Anyway, I just used a dresser and switched all their hair colour to the other parent.

I find the genetics questionable overall. My most recent couple have had 3 children and every one has had traits from only one parent. Skin colour, eye colour and hair colour are all different between the two parents but all 3 kids have gotten them only from one.

We've all been waiting for cars to come back too, not that they will. Parents teaching their kids to drive was a nice side activity that mirrored RL nicely.

My Sims random outfits got even weirder. I don't recall where it came from, but I have a CC set of head wings (like you might see on some supernatural anime characters) which are slotted to the glasses spot, so now a bunch of Sims are running around with silly little wings on their heads for no reason.

You're quite welcome. I always thought those lightning pics were random lucky shots, and maybe a few are, but I'm betting most of them are staged in a similar fashion. It's also got me wondering if the Hypercharged moodlet can be added via cheat. Something I'll have to look into in to future.
