  • Yeah same. Their faces look like they all gained weight, due to the facial crease at the cheeks. I'm looking at it on my phone but I so far prefer the original look they had going on. I prefer their old hairstyles and glasses better too. Mortimer and (oh lord I can't remember) Cassandra look alright so I'm not against…
  • I grew up in Oklahoma. No one had a basement and attics ruined your stuff (due to the heat). So things are stored in garages. In Sims 2/3 I would sometimes have some of the workbench type objects with some storage in the garage. Oddly enough, I usually throw the holiday stuff in the inaccessible roof space...even though…
  • I enjoy both, but I think CL offers more for playing outside the world they give you -- if you like canning, farming, etc. Eco has a bunch of things I do NOT like in my other neighborhoods and often turn off the climate progression thing. I may try the N.A.Ps to see if they're less buggy. I also like the style of the items…
  • lol that's perfect. When I get to the build on the max size lot, I'll have a Stella and a Stiletto :)
  • My default name for my first livestock in other games (Stardew Valley) is Stella. The right name for the next one will come to me haha. My sim is too poor for one right now, after spending all her money on The Quack Shack, where Feathers and Clucky reside. I'll see about some pics later :)
  • Omg these builds are all amazing <3 I'm on my phone so I'll post my first build later. Looking forward to saving some of these in the gallery! Edit: Here's the photos!
  • I'm having an issue with selling things that should be sold in the inventory. I can't sell ANYTHING that can be planted if it comes from a seed packet. If I directly harvest the item (eggs, milk, plants, etc), I can sell it. For this, I put it on the counter and sell in build mode. Or it can be used as an ingredient in…
  • You can probably (I don't know about quick meals, but this works for other meals you don't have ingredients for) go off the lot and use a fridge elsewhere. The bar in in HOB has a fridge for public use.
  • Ah yes I forgot to add I do not get any nightly mushrooms. I even got a physical mushroom from a quest reward and planted it. Nada. I did the me too thing on Answers HQ but I will go back for that today as well.
  • --Chicks do not age up --Creature Keeper invites me everywhere, then leaves immediately --Creature Keeper keeps trying to plant plants in the planter, which are filled with 3 mysterious mushrooms, that cause EVERY plant to fail to germinate. My sim cannot reach the mushrooms to eat them. Sim can get the "new" object out,…
  • OMG yes. I have all the CDs for TS1 and it is a royal pain any time I get a new computer or whatever. I literally got a CD drive just for this game... Although I have all the DLC, etc, for TS1, it would be the literal last game that I need a disk for. Everything else has been rereleased (enhanced, legacy, remaster, etc,…
  • I'd be down for a remaster for sure... I can't even remember at this point how many files I've had to edit to get around graphics card issues. I got all the DLC when they had the sale to get TS2 UC for free (though I got mine digitalized by showing a photo of the CD key to customer support...2 weeks before it was on sale),…
  • In sims 3 I used it because the loading screens took soooo long that I would often move the family where I thought they should live. Then if I didn't like the house they got a bunch of cash and moved. Sims 1 my sims would be basically as rich as the programming allowed, and I built houses that reflected that. Sims 4? I…
  • I bought a cd drive just for the Sims. I still play it. However, I would pay for a remastered version on origin. I have all the discs, but not necessarily the promo items, etc. If I could get a new version that had all the extra programs (like the create a star or whatever it was called, and the ability to make new…
  • Ugh I have all the stress I had IRL when I went to university -- too many things to do and never enough time...plus being chronically tired! lol Jokes aside I am enjoying the pack. Just wish I knew a few things beforehand, like your sim moves out of the house. I also don't know why I had roommates to control -- if it isn't…
  • It reminds me of the old Sims look, but I'm definitely looking forward to less eye strain! Also idk if it's just me or whatever due to some color blind issues but I literally cannot tell the difference in the color between the game and expansion packs. The look is nice; just can't see a difference....
  • I'm pumped for the new stories & starting conditions! While sometimes I like to play with a brand new/build from the ground up types, I think I'll be using this feature a lot <3
  • I think the idea/consensus is more for the "hobby farm" that you see IRL. Or the self-sufficient life/homesteading where you are low tech from a combination of lack of funds/power/etc. Plus going to old fashioned farming, where you have the basic chicken coop, barn, horse stalls, etc. Nothing that would require power/water…
  • 4 is the most comfortable, but I play with 8 for a challenge (be it finances, no grim reaper, no social worker, etc). Though I don't do that as often after Sims 1 (before I had cheats or mods). I think after 4, I start to slack. Someone doesn't get the most optimal skill building or is just a painting slave, etc. And of…
  • I also forgot to mention that I expect you'll be using your death flowers. But there are specific emotions your sim can be in to plead/flirt(flirty)/demand(confident) the life be spared.
  • There's always the pool without a ladder deal (except you'll need to build walls after getting the sim in the pool), then electrocution -- make a tv break then get a less-than-capable sim to "fix" it, after getting shocked once. There's a cowplant (right? does that need expansions...?), and then there's also supposedly…
  • I mostly keep the same thing from the get go. Exceptions are specific formal wear for weddings (or funerals I guess but I've only done that once) and I will have them change their wardrobe when they age, since I typically don't like the RNG's sense of fashion. I'll also typically change the outfits of townies that move in…
  • I had a bad experience in TS2 (my first wedding to throw haha -- sims 1 didn't quite work that way) and from then on, the only weddings are so elaborate and time consuming that they are very rare. I'll build a community lot with either like a fancy park or a church, etc, with a banquet hall and so forth, then my household…
  • Hopefully I can provide as much feedback as possible. I've added more to that thread about specific issues. Seems the line doesn't dry, the tub doesn't clean, but yet the moodlet only shows up with clean clothes (so the washer preserves the scent, apparently).
  • I'll still make a thread, but I just found out that the clothes are "used" after washing in the tub. Before the interaction is complete, they're "pristine". So it's not the clothesline. However, they still decay to "filthy" on the line without getting dry. Edit: removing the package file and repairing the game did fix the…
  • I think I'll do that. Thanks!
  • I have this bug too. Happens a lot for me, and I don't use mods. I got the pack yesterday, so I can't vouch for the time unfortunately.
  • I'm more likely to vote on a poll than comment or sign a formal petition. It's also interesting to see how much of the vote is for/against the issue, or which of the ideas is the most popular.
  • I wouldn't give an expensive thing to a little kid IRL, nor any of the child dedicated ones (proximity of eyes to screen), so I don't do it for the sims. Just another expense for my broke parents XD
  • Errr...I wonder if this was the right thread to post on in the first place... sometimes old posts are brought back when people use an internet search, but...I'm at a loss with this one.
