Ugh, same. I wasn't having this problem until I recently starting playing again before I bought Parenthood so I think it's related to the patch. Everyone in their insane get ups just cruising down the street like it make sense to be in a formal dress and a llama hat.
This is a good idea! Now I have a bunch of thoughts racing through my head. Do you just give the Sim a money cheat at the end of his "shift" so he's earning Simoleons?
My older sister has played 1-3 and got me hooked at 8 years old on the first one. She doesn't want to play TS4 though because she seems to be waiting for all the expansions, and it's too "cartoony" for her realistic play. My little sister has played 2 and 4, but hasn't for a couple years now because I think she was just…
@TriX0099 : I know this thread has been gone for a minute, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with that many houses played rotationally! I'm at about 39 currently and I put in MCCommander to help with the relationship culling issues, but this is the same save from when I started in 2014 with just new families adding…
I am so grateful for this thread, but also so sad because playing rotationally with 39 active households and about 215ish Sims I've made (or made in game) makes it almost impossible. I have mods to stop the relationship culling but with each update things get out of whack. :/ I just love when children have to be introduced…
I do the same thing! I force myself to change at least one feature drastically if I catch myself. I agree it is challenging when you just love the look of a certain face.
Cutaway all the way! Walls up for building, decorating and screenshots. Or if I'm focused on a Sim or two having a moment I like to try to be in there with them, if that makes sense. But I've never played walls down unless I'm on the hunt for a missing neighbor.
I'm gonna jump on this thread to ask another pose question! Uhm, how do they work in general? I've literally got no idea. I thought it was just for promotional downloading purposes, to sell your CC or whatever. But I saw screenshots on a simblr with poses in game and then got verra confused.
SOOO HAPPY. I made my first two vampires last night. An old evil terrible piece of 🐸🐸🐸🐸, Narek. And his "son" (he sired him), Veikko. I am very stoked to put in Veikko's blast from the past and have him be turned. Much drama, very vampire! All the powers are so fun, the objects are right up my alley with style and I even…
I get so stoked when I have a kind of chubbo kid. They look more "normal" to me. I get concerned about my skinny kids (because they do play frequently), I have some lanky 🐸🐸🐸🐸, weird teens.
I don't think anyone mentioned this yet: I have my Sims got play with the clay lump. They get inspired pretty quickly after that, though I've never taken note how long exactly it takes.
I always get the warning on every infant, and weirdly enough I'll get two notification immediately together. Whenever the baby cries for a diaper change I'll feed it too. And when I get those notifications I instantly get an adult to the rescue. However, it drives me batty to no freakin' end when I queue up for mom to deal…
In TS2 I made everyone soul mate basically, they just usually lived separately. In TS4 so far I either create a perfect Sim and have them "bump" into each other OR if I'm not in the mood to make a whole story up in my head about a single Sim, I let my Sims into the city to pick a mate. That's pretty fun for me- I look for…
I play with them forever haha. But I play rotationally, so I have a lot of families/coupes/singles to go through so while I have a rotation list for my sanity, I also pick whoever is striking my fancy at the moment. Do I feel like advancing a career? Making a baby? Achieving an aspiration? etc etc. Go ahead and make a new…
I had the exact same problem. I was excited to age one girl down since she'd barely been turned into a kid and wasn't ready. But within seconds of getting out of CAS and returning to the active household, she suddenly had a birthday!
WOA. Yeah I watched the video just before getting on here and I had no idea how much new control I would really have over vampires. I can actually play out a whole story I have in my head now!
Right before the patch I had my Sims (who had two boys) get pregnant because they both have family aspirations and that includes 3 kids. Well they ended up with THREE MORE BOYS. I have to bulldoze the house and make one for them because of this. lol and the next day I found out about toddlers! I'm ecstatic!
Ooo yes! I do want to know what happens! I have a Sim I want to give the fertile trait to, have the On Ley Line (I think it's called) trait as well as get a fertility massage from the spa. She's based off one of my cat LOL so I want her to have lots of babies.
This just happened to me in the same apartment! I just had the family travel to another lot and come home. Worked out just fine with no cheating, I was very worried.
@luthienrising ah plum, you're right. MCComander had an update so I assumed toddlers would be included. It is not. Feck. I have 45 households I play rotational, so the set age is crucial to my game play. Do you feel like you have adequate time to accomplish what you want to with each Sim in a life stage? I only auto-age…
I am trying to figure out this issue as well. I play with custom lifespan via MCComander, but I want to make sure my Sims can enjoy some YA time without having a toddler on their hip- but be able to fulfill family aspirations before they pass. I've also had the issue over never, once in my whole jillion years of playing…
Drives me absolutely nuts because I have a sister who does this. She started playing sims when she was 15 which means I was introduced at 9 and then we both moved to TS2 and were over the moon about it! When TS3 came out I continued TS2 (partly due to money) because I didn't like the look of TS3. I felt the people looked…
I would love a teacher career. It was one of the first ones I looked for when we got the game. I second the less goofy careers too... I feel weird about any of my Sims being secret agents. I love the option to choose your career too. I came from TS2 so it was new for me!
I was just thinking about this earlier! I haven't had a chance to play with toddlers in game yet, but this game might be the most fun to play on normal speed. I usually play pretty fast, I like to make sure everyone is happy and working on skills/friendships/romances/aspirations, so I'll do 3 speed a lot. However! I'll…
I was resigned to not having them and was bummed, but when they came out I freaked out- I didn't realize how much that additional life stage meant! For me I can have a more complete family. I run my games a bit long, so if there is an older sibling and their baby sibling is suddenly visually the same age.... well it's…
