I tried this before with single sim and only base game with 1.67 patch applied and no mods/CC. Game stutter very frequent on i9-9900K / GTX 1080 Ti unlike in the video.

I have 256GB SSD since 2014 and still use that capacity till today I don't have to "move" document library to HDD. The 256GB SSD is enough for Windows 10 / TS3 plus tons of expansions and CC / Some of my other main games like Cities Skylines / Totalwar Rome II / Attila / Warhammer. 128GB and 256GB SSD price different is negligible today. So I vote for 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD. :D 128GB work well for Windows + Sims 3 + CC + many expansions and maybe some small programs. You will have problem when you want to install more games.

3GB or 6GB is mostly not different if play only TS3. 1440p max + heavily use of Reshade only consume around 1200-1500MB and that with 28 Sims on one house. The CPU is OK for sims but the HD 3000 and GT555M is way underpower. There is no need to turn on V-sync or limit fps as mention. I guess this laptop is 6-7 years old ? There are many ways to deal with overheat graphics card. 1.Turn on V-Sync in your driver. I forget to mention that something is better. - When Sims change their cloth (to sleep , to shower etc) they did instantly (before ramdisk I have to wait several second). - Less lag (but still lag) Seriously now thinking to get 32GB RAM since my entire Sims 3 folder is 16GB. :D

I never install anything from Nvidia except just vga driver. The only program that I found useful is Nvidia Inspector. For GTX 960 you should have no problem playing Sims 4 with max setting for 1080p or even 1440p (native or DSR).

Both nvidia and amd are reset. I have 7970 R9-290 R9-290X GTX 970 in the past and now GTX 780 Ti. Every driver update cause reset. If EA/Maxis has no control then they should tell nvidia and amd to add Sims3,4 to profile.
