Hopefully both the kit and the game pack update are coming this month so that we can get a game pack or at least a stuff pack in September. They really should release 2 stuff packs and 2 game packs per year at a bare minimum. Along with 2 EPs and 6 kits they can easily accomplish 12 releases a year so that we get something…
The August patch supposedly drops on August 24, which is weird since we don’t have the laundry list yet (they’ve been posting those two weeks before the patch). It also means we likely won’t get a September patch until later in September (so no anniversary update?). August 24 is also Tuesday, so probably no kits in August…
Are game packs/stuff packs/kits available for cheaper at launch? Like how much was Dream Home Decorator on these sites when it first came out? Even official retailers like Amazon will put these packs on sale after they are out for a while. Obviously the key selling sites are able to obtain keys cheaper after these packs…
Those sites do not directly get their keys from EA. They typically obtain keys from distributors in regions where games are cheaper (and these distributors are not allowed to sell keys to other regions by EA). You’ll notice that it’s mainly expansions packs that are cheaper on these gray market sites, as expansion packs…
Last time you blamed EA for broken CAS, even though it was clearly caused by mods. If you can’t even place objects like counters and sinks in build mod, clearly you have broken mods. The game automatically disables mods after every update for a reason. You can’t turn mods back on and expect everything to magically work…
Blank worlds are never gonna happen again. They want to keep the total number of lots (across all worlds) low, as too many lots in a single save file negatively affect performance. They couldn’t even put many lots in their $40 EP worlds. It makes zero sense to waste a bunch lots on a blank world.
Apparently a hot fix patch will release tomorrow. I wonder if there’s going to be a July Inside Maxis stream (to showcase what’s coming with the August patch)? They’ve been doing these every month. In any case I hope the August patch is at least a pre-kit patch. Courtyard Oasis seems like forever ago.
They seems to think they shouldn't be releasing kits when there is a big pack coming out. Never mind that TS3 store always released new content, regardless of if a new EP is coming out. Aurora Skies (the Gold version cost as much as a whole EP) for example was released less than two weeks from University Life. Considering…
This is part of their new A/B testing. Only some players will get it (presumably new players). If you're a long time player you probably will never get it. That's why even though this was added months ago, few people have noticed it.
None of those work as we know the first [REDACTED] refer to a world. Which is obviously a false statement. You don’t need any trials to play in San Myshuno. You could just buy City Living.
That rumored lineup on Reddit was clearly made up, as they already got the Apex Legends trailer and the date of the event wrong. Interestingly enough, one of the comments claimed that they have inside info and TS5 is years off. Judging from this poster’s comment history on Reddit, they don’t appear to be a Sims player at…
In a lot of ways TS3 Exchange is more complex. TS4 Gallery are mostly just lots and Sims. TS3 Exchange meanwhile has entirely new worlds created by players using Create a World, objects/clothing created using Create a Style, and patterns created using Create a Pattern. Also, when players used CC in their creation, the CC…
Speaking of rookie mistakes, did anyone notice that they named one of the families as "The Watson Family"? Do they not know that the game will refer to them as "The The Watson Family Household"? :D
I remember TS3 store had a free soccer uniform set for countries in the 2010 World Cup. I doubt they’ll do that again though. They don’t really do free DLC anymore.
They don't have much budget for free content at all. So most major free content is made from a pack's budget. For example, both the bunk beds and the entire Likes/Dislikes system were made using Dream Home Decorator's budget.
The Garden Shop isn’t an actual lot. It’s part of the neighborhood like the food stalls we have. Owned by the Crumplebottoms just means Agatha and Agnes are attending it.
Summer of Sims (May - July) is not the same thing as Summer. Anything could still release in August. Frankly I'd be very disappointed if they don't release a kit in August. That would be more than 3 months without a single kit. I wish, but no, they only released 4 stuff packs within the last 3 years. We've literally been…
Holidays and the calendar are two separate features. There is no way that they’d give holidays to everyone for free. The calendar becoming free benefits everyone, as they will be able to add things like City Living/Snowy Escape festivals, base game events like Sims Sessions, and future content like Lunar Cycle to the…
They never blamed 32-bit for any of the game's limitations. You're literally making things up. In fact, quite the opposite, when the game first launched, they insisted that updating the game to 64-bit will not provide any benefit, justifying their decision of making the game 32-bit. Their reasoning was that the entire game…
He didn’t work on either Dream Home Decorator or Cottage Living. If this was a hint, it’s likely for a future pack that he worked on. https://www.twitter.com/SimGuruGeorge/status/1403401542015754240
Yes they can add more neighborhoods (for example Mt. Komorebi technically has 6 neighborhoods, as the base camps are their own neighborhoods). However, there is no point in adding more neighborhoods if their goal is keeping the total number of lots down. That will just result in less lots per neighborhood. Asking why the…
