Definitely gonna per-order it! I’m very glad that they’re doing the pre-order/limited time bonus content again. Even more reason for everyone to buy it ASAP :p
It always makes me laugh when people are like “kits are too expensive! I’m not buying them!!” Guess what, EA is already expecting most of you to not buy kits. Kits focus on more niche themes and thus fewer people will buy them. Because not as many people are buying kits, EA has priced them very high so that they don’t need…
https://twitter.com/TheSims/status/1440361946528710663 Won't release until October. No paid content in September :o Very weird that they'd patch the game this early when the kits won't release for another two weeks
A bit confusing but does this mean 3 CAS kits plus 1 build kit are coming soon? https://www.twitter.com/TheSims/status/1440000426569605124 A new patch is also releasing tomorrow, so I think we’re getting at least 1 new kit this month. I wouldn’t mind at all if all 4 kits release this month :D It does say “try it all, all…
At this point a new SP or GP is definitely not happening this month. A new kit is the best we can hope for. Hopefully a new kit will be announced next Tuesday (the 21st) and then released two days later, like how they did last time.
Apparently we’re getting the next patch on September 7 (Tuesday) and I suppose that’s also when we’re getting the game pack refresh. Things are not looking good for paid content in September unless we get another patch later in the month.
I'd bet more than 99.99% of TS3 players didn't own the entire store. Guess what, that didn't stop the store from releasing at least one, if not multiple sets every month. The more kits they release, the sooner people will realize that they can't just buy everything and will stop obsessing over owning everything. Seriously…
The vast majority of people working on the game do not fix bugs - they have a dedicated QA team for bug fixing. In fact, most of them are not even capable of fixing any bugs. What kind of bugs do you expect a concept artist that’s hired to draw concept art to fix? Or an animator hired to create animations. Or a sound…
Industrial Loft actually reminded me of TS3's Dark Industrial Set. I wish that was the direction they were going for instead of Brooklyn lofts. And the negative point is that they do not release TS4 kits remotely as often as TS3 store sets.
With the August patch being a very small patch (only one bug fix - that's why there wasn't a laundry list), it seems like the main purpose of the patch is just serving as the pre-pack update for the new kit. Another patch could be coming soon, similarly to how we got two patches in May.
That can be found in the game files as always. Interestingly this kit is SP25 in the code. They've now skipped over both SP19 and SP24. I wonder what those are :o Hopefully a new stuff pack is coming soon.
Hopefully both the kit and the game pack update are coming this month so that we can get a game pack or at least a stuff pack in September. They really should release 2 stuff packs and 2 game packs per year at a bare minimum. Along with 2 EPs and 6 kits they can easily accomplish 12 releases a year so that we get something…
The August patch supposedly drops on August 24, which is weird since we don’t have the laundry list yet (they’ve been posting those two weeks before the patch). It also means we likely won’t get a September patch until later in September (so no anniversary update?). August 24 is also Tuesday, so probably no kits in August…
