Good to see you again BluebellFlora! So far, I'm running Sims 4 in Bootcamp on my iMac and it is working like a charm. Here are the specs: - OS X version - 10.9 (Mavericks) - Windows version - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - VM version, if applicable - N/A - Boot Camp partition size and available space, if applicable - 12.9 GB…
Oh OK (about the i7). I had my OS freeze on me the first day of setup, but I think it's because I hadn't put in the extra ram, yet. I also had the Sims 3 launcher not show up correctly (the play + menu buttons disappeared) and I had to completely uninstall and reinstall again. I haven't experienced any more issues, yet…
Thank you for the tips, Snap. I'll have to look into this further. I'm naturally a neurotic, so I might be seeing an issue that's not even an issue to begin with LOL! I was gratefully able to find a right-click mouse button option to enable in system preferences, so that has been really great. I miss the middle-button…
Thank you so much, Zarah, along with everyone else who's replied. You've definitely helped me a lot with this decision making. I think because Sims 3 is the most CPU intense application I ever use, I think the i5 will be fine. I'm currently on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, which isn't exactly terrible but very outdated, so I…
I wouldn't say impossible, just a little extra work on EA's hands. EA would have to designate a Sims 3 object for a Sims 2 object, for example. The converter would have to basically translate how Sims 2 is coded into Sims 3. If there's a mismatch, let's say, in terms of the lot's size between Sims 2/3, the lot will just…
I would contact EA support and see if they can resend it to your email. If by chance they can not, did you already INSTALL the game? If so, you might be able to find the registry key hidden in your computer. Do Google search on this to find out the steps involved. Because you downloaded it, I'm thinking you have a good…
I actually wouldn't mind sacrificing my privacy if they lowered the cost of EPs/SPs. However, that's not going to happen. It's so ridiculous that we have to pay so much money (which, on a college student income, $40 for an expansion pack is a lot of money), and then EA feels they need to even milk more money for what it's…
I actually had a dream that I had a book report on it, and then I was supposed to read the sequel for the second book report, and I didn't do either of them and got introuble. xD This was for a college, too.
Also Orca, if for now you just keep patch 1.7/2.2 installed, like me, and don't update any further your game/launcher will run fine. I know that right now the patching is a pain, but hopefully it will get better soon. I really wish you would just wait and see, as I really hate to see anyone leave. At least give it some…
I know these are Sims 2 EPs but I'm just too tired to come up with anything original right now. This is the order I would like them in though: 1. Nightlife 2. Seasons 3. Apartment Life 4. Pets (or farming) 5. University (and/or careers) 6. Open for Business (although this could go with the "careers" expansion)
I'm also not downloading any patches until I know for SURE that it will fix all the major problems that we've been having. I'm still on patch 2.2 and I won't be updating anytime soon.
That's not good. It sounds to me like maybe the CC wasn't properly removed and therefore it's indicating that each lot is corrupted. Hope you can get that fixed without having to start over. :(
First trying manually opening the EADM and see if it needs to be updated. Then, open your launcher and see if that works. This worked for me awhile ago.
Not much of an update at all, is it? I could've sworn a Guru said that their high-end loft stuff patch was upgraded to 3.0. Oh well, looks like I won't be using the exchange anytime soon, because I'm not upgrading to 2.3 or 2.4.
