  • Just watched the first episode and I have so many thoughts (mainly negative). So here we go * I HATE how it was edited so it came across as another generic, over-the-top American reality show. * 90 mins to create Sims, build a house and create an impressive story? No way, that's nowhere near enough time. * The challenges…
  • Disagree in part You only need to go on YouTube to see how amazingly creative people are with CAS and build/buy modes Gameplay is limited but there are things you can do to add creative flair (challenges etc)
  • I don't think they get paid either so I doubt that EA would get them to test the game for them :/ A lot of them have been giving criticism of the pack so it's not like they're being forced to say only positives. It does come across that the update and the pack were not tested properly, especially as so many people have had…
  • My dream is to have The Sims 5 be a combination of the gameplay of The Sims 2 and the artstyle, CAS and build/buy of The Sims 4. Maybe some new features thrown in there ;) I don't think we'll ever get what we want with 4 though. The base game was rushed so that set it on a slippery slope. And I do feel cars are pointless…
  • Yay! I really miss having this mod in my game
  • I'm not really getting lag but definitely a few more glitches than usual.

  • I sent my Sim to a different lot and used her phone to find a job At her own place she has electric and water generators that I have her power with insect bio-fuel so that she can use a computer.
  • Yeah you find it in customer service/retail all the time! You have people who are unhappy with the business in some way - the service, the products, the prices etc yet will continue to shop there. Humans are weird.
  • Funnily enough I was never that interested in the premade Sims but now that we don't really have much lore or backstory I kind of miss it!
  • Emily had some trouble with the Fabricator...
  • I've played it for a couple of hours today to find my way around the new features Firstly, I LOVE the CAS and build/buy items - I think the homemade, rustic theme looks really great The neighbourhood of Evergreen Harbour is different to what we've had before and I especially like the look of the industrial area. It's…
  • If you have an insect farm you can also create insect bio-fuel which you can use to power your generators :)
  • I don't think game changers have as much influence as you think they do. Even if they made suggestions there would be many hoops to jump through before any suggestions would be taken on board. Remember you're dealing with a massive, multi-million company here. I think a lot of the Sims community (myself included) still…
  • That's really helpful, thank you! I think I probably will download it, so how would I go about capping the frame rate?
  • No worries! I think all of us get bored with this game at one point or another :( I guess you have to try and find what works to keep you interested And downloading CC/mods is a great way to freshen up your game :)
  • I suggest if you do find yourself getting bored then step away from the game for a while, do something else and you might find inspiration will randomly strike :) I also found picking a particular hobby or skill for your Sim can give you motivation to develop their skills and career Watching YouTubers play often inspires…
  • I loved it! Kevin is so funny XD Ignore the negativity on here, a lot of us enjoy Kevin & his videos
  • All those bugs are annoying and you have a right to complain but the game in general for most people is playable...it's not like the game is constantly freezing or crashing
  • I downloaded it, but there's so much to it I don't know where to start 😅
  • Thanks OP for your insightful post! I agreed with a lot of your points In terms of my own opinion, I will say now that I can't compare The Sims 4 with The Sims 3 because I rarely played it. I kind of regret that now, but my laptop at the time just couldn't handle it. I don't think it would be fair of me to do so when I…
  • I've loved The Sims since the original game, though I didn't get my own copy for a while as my parents had a Mac. I loved making stories for my Sims and reading what other's had created on The Sims Exchange website. It seems limited now but at the time there were so many things to explore When The Sims 2 came out I was so…
  • As @PrincessrozeeS said there are lots of challenges out there - 100 babies, rags to riches, runaway teen... you can take a look on this forum or YouTube for inspiration Or you could practise building - whether it's following video tutorials or just renovating current builds. Or maybe give all the townies a makeover if you…
  • I've recently gotten into Plumbella's videos and I love her too - she's refreshingly honest, gives fair criticism and just comes across as very genuine 🙂 I love LGR too - he's a huge Sims fan but still gives very constructive reviews
  • I'm listening to a lot of Kpop - currently obsessed with T-ARA's Bo Peep Bo Peep and Roly Poly XD
  • I totally take this back. All the cats are being a nightmare - they just don't leave my Sims alone, are always begging for food or attention and frequently get sick. I've had to stop them going into the bedroom because they keep disturbing their owners whilst they're sleeping. I decided to put one up for adoption in the…
  • The UI Cheat Extension has been updated for the new patch

  • (this thread is addictive!) Alice & Toby got married! The ghost of her mother showed up briefly and Alice then got ill at the reception :# The newlyweds then tried for a baby that night and the very next morning Alice found out that she was expecting! Her pregnancy was fairly uneventful apart from Pumpkin (her late…
  • 1. More attention to babies, toddlers and children. Maybe even Elders too! Maybe not necessarily in the base game, even an expansion pack like Generations for The Sims 3. 2. Make the emotions more stable so they don't flip from one to the other so quickly. 3. Better AI. 4. In general make the game more fleshed out so…
  • I've always been a Sims player but I really started getting in to it again during this COVID-19 pandemic. It provides me with a safe space to play and be creative when it feels like the world is spinning out of control Lately I've been feeling very anxious and worried so I've been enjoying having somewhere to escape from…
  • I don't miss owning cars but I wish Sims still got car pools/the school bus like previous games
