  • Okay. I like vehicles. I have two oldies, an EV and a vintage Vespa of my own. However, if we’re going to do cars, I hope they have their own gameplay and don’t necessarily intrude on all of the existing worlds. I don’t want traffic in Glimmerbrook, HOB or Sulani, for example. Some worlds are best left un-modernized. But…
  • Sounds like a job for Johnny Zest. Or a descendant thereof.
  • Of the ones I’ve heard, Island Living, and the mysterious sounding ROM and Vampires. Cottage Living has some music that’s different from the others, too.
  • Some of the things you mentioned are intrinsic to the game, like Sims visiting between worlds and random notifications. But if you’re having a lot of actions failing, freezing and glitches you may need to repair your game, because, in my experience, that’s not typical. My Sims clean up after themselves pretty well and take…
  • Wow. Looks like I hit a nerve. Seriously folks. I assure you that I don’t associate vampires and werewolves with Twilight. I personally found that series to be pretty dull and vapid and the supernatural aspect was just a vehicle for teen angst. YMMV. And, I am very familiar with older movie and fiction crossovers. But I…
  • I see werewolves are well in the lead. I know a lot of people feel that vampires aren’t complete without werewolves. I guess that’s the Twilight effect, since traditionally there’s no association. I probably won’t get werewolves since I don’t have the vampire pack, either. I’m more interested in creating something of a…
  • I guess I'm late introducing myself to the forum. I've actually been registered and reading for eight years, just haven't had time to participate in the community much. I play Sims 4 mostly now, but have been registered here since my Sims 3 days. I recently left my job (essential healthcare worker, dropped from full time…
  • Steampunk Princess Cordelia got caught in the rain today.
  • Dear Michael Bell What the heck, dude! You’re the Creature Keeper! Now I find you in San Myshuno sharing an apartment with… wait for it…. Marcus Flex?!? You, the most reclusive Sim ever… he who prefers the company of critters to people…have decided to walk on the wild side with a member of Partihaus? I hope it’s worth it.…
  • Welp. I discovered that Michael Bell ditched the whole Creature Keeper gig and moved into a San Myshuno apartment with Marcus Flex. Did not see that coming.
  • I used to teach restorative yoga at a fitness club with the spin class right across the hall. My students used to say it was like trying to relax in the middle of the freeway. They were joking, but looks like it might be an actual thing, here!
  • I play on a Dell Latitude with Intel i7 and an added Nivdia GeForce graphics card. Runs the game well on high/very high settings and didn’t break the bank for me.
  • Harvest Fest gnome had it coming. Bunny Gnome rejected Morgyn’s gift and zapped him. Morgyn returned the festive gesture with the incineration spell and reduced Bunny Gnome to ashes. The other gnomes beat a hasty retreat, leaving seed packets all over the kitchen. I love Sim holidays!
  • Ah Thanks. But I don’t have Paranormal. I might retry the mod. I’ve gotten a new computer since the last time. It might handle it better.
  • The economy. Staffing shortages everywhere. Oh, you mean the game! Sorry. Can’t help there. I don’t play the business side of the game much.
  • Art style and better routing. I know some people complain about the cartoon look of 4, but I feel this art style has aged better than any of the other versions of the game. And, compared to Sims 3 (I’m looking at you, Island Paradise) routing issues are pretty rare for me.
  • Is there a way to make Destination Worlds livable without Zerbu’s mod? I want to convert a few Granite Falls cabins to residential. The All Worlds Are Residential Mod worked beautifully when I tried it before, but made my game crashy.
  • I've gone with a complicated fantasy tale for my current save. Not my typical game play, but I'm really enjoying it. All magic creatures on the planet Symm have become victims of human persecution. As a result, they have withdrawn from human civilization (represented by Willow Creek, Windenburg, Brindleton Bay and…
  • No one tells me "sul sul" on start up anymore.
  • I loved the bands in Sims 3. I have a 5 person rock band for my supernatural save called Guitar Noir. I would love for them to actually perform concerts in Mooncrest, um…Newcrest
  • I’ve modded my game to allow more than one best friend, because of the game’s restrictions on being best friends only with your romantic interest. Once you get beyond middle school, you can have more than one close friend. Your soulmate? Yes. Your sibling? Yes. Your soul sister? Yup. That Bromance? Why not? If the…
  • I don’t regret buying any of the packs I own, because they all add something to my game. I was thinking of getting Eco Lifestyle, but after trying the free weekend, I realized that was one I probably would regret.
  • No bugs seen. I’ve never had the Spellcaster version fail, but Morgyn is maxed up in all magic with all perks, so his spells rarely fail.
  • I haven’t used the book of life, but Spellcasters can definitely resurrect a Sim. Morgyn, over there, has done it several times in game. Untamed Magic has two spells you can use. Necrocall will summon the dead. Dedeathify will restore them to life.
  • I guess I approach the game differently. I stayed with Sims 3 for years after 4 came out to give it time to develop (and come down in price) before jumping in. I didn’t come in with expectations that it would be “just like the past games, only better” because none of the past games were perfect for me, either. I actually…
  • The store, just because it was more varied. It was pricey and I hated the point system, but it definitely allowed for more customized simming with a wide variety of options, including gameplay and worlds.
  • I read somewhere that all adult Sims are 6 feet in scale. Not sure about teens and kids.
  • They happen in any world, I think. But you need the Get To Work pack and you pretty much have to trigger them someway these days. Have a sim in the scientist career use the Observatory, the satellite dish or the Out Of This World computer, use the Contact Aliens interaction on the Observatory. I’ve had it trigger by…
  • Thanks. I’ll give that a try.
  • I understood the poll, thank you very much, and didn’t vote because my play style doesn’t fit your question. I attempted to share that by indicating how I choose where to play, with illustrations. And your correction doesn’t change my point… the one I like best is whatever suits my story.
