TS4 SimRipper and TS4 MorphMaker have been updated to work with the patch. I have no doubt EA will break them again when they fix the facial distortion bug.
I had the problem of Growing Together downloading but not showing up in the game. Turns out the EA app downloaded and installed GT to the CAS Demo folder. After I copied the EP13 folder from the CAS Demo folder to the Sims 4 folder, the game recognized it and everything seems to be there. BTW, the EA app also seems to have…
I'm stuck in the same boat, except I was able to download GT just fine but it won't install. According to the app it's in my library and I can play it but the files aren't there in Origin Games and the game says GT content is unavailable. I repaired (it reinstalled everything except GT), signed out and back in, cleared the…
Edit: Again I'm assuming you used my SliderConverter on MTS? The S4S slider batch fix appears not to work. Then I don't know what the problem is, sorry.
The fixed sliders work on human and occult sims in my game. I was asking if you used the SliderConverter. The AlphaConverter is not for sliders and won't fix them. Please test with only the fixed slider packages in your mods folder, in case there's a conflict.
First, I assume you used the SliderConverter, not the AlphaConverter? EA changed the way it restricts sliders - as far as I can tell so far it only restricts by frame now and ignores gender, but there may be more to it. If you could name or link to a specific slider (hopefully with an easily visible effect) that only works…
TS4AlphaConverter is updated. (TS4SliderConverter too, only to add a couple of options.) The new AlphaConverter will recompress LRLE textures and keep color slider compatibility. So far, looks like it works on hair and all skins and skin details. Andrew at S4S discovered that EA dropped support for colors above 65k (using…
I've made two tools to try to ease the pain - a tool to fix sliders and one to fix alpha hairs and skin overlays that look strange after the patch. I successfully tested with a hair and it should work with skins and any other CAS items that don't look right because the textures are LRLE. Both can be run on individual…
All my sliders are updated: - Breast Separation - Enhanced Butt - Enhanced Leg Sliders - Pointed Ears The only one that was broken in my testing was the breast separation, but I updated them all.
Cmar Breast Separation slider was just updated. TS4 MorphMaker is busted, should be updated today. I'm working on my other sliders and on a tool to update old sliders.
TS4 SimRipper is updated. It's being developed and maintained by thepancake1/simmythesim on Github now, but I've also updated the older version on MTS just to have it working. Both are updated. Edit: Oops, I see you already have it.
I've figured out LRLE version 2, at least enough to decode the images I've tested so far. Tool, code, info, request for brainstorming etc. is posted on MTS: https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=650929
Thanks! That's how I feel too, I'll direct people to S4S if it's the right tool for the job. S4S is an impressive achievement, it's too bad the admins there don't have the confidence to tolerate people using anything else.
Here's my instructions for using S4S to update skintones, which is the only way Mac users can do it - hopefully the Mac version works the same as the Windows version: - Open the package in S4S My Projects - Click on a skintone and make the following changes: - - Version = 0000000B - - U1: 1 = warm panel, 2 = neutral, 3 =…
I saw that 'no permission' message and wondered if that was the case. It's not the first time, either. They're probably planning to add a batch fix to S4S and don't want any 'competition'.
My tool for automatically converting CC skintones is uploaded on MTS: https://modthesims.info/download.php?&t=650407 It should work for default replacements that include a custom TONE also - the ones that show up with a wrench icon - but I haven't tested that specifically.
Hi! That will work, but for the skintone slider to work properly you need to change the three new floats (F1, F2, F3 = slider minimum, slider maximum, slider increment) as well. The standard values are -.05, .05, and .005. Also I'm updating my old skin converter tool to do this conversion automatically as well as adding…
Looks like CC skintones need to be updated to the latest version in order to show up in CAS. I've been able to clone the new version, which now includes a flag for warm, neutral, cold, misc. which is probably why old versions don't show up in the new skin panels. They appear as usual with a wrench icon.
Nothing so far. It's really needed as more textures are converted. I've made some progress but am stumped on what I think are long repeat counts of transparent pixels. Plus, just to made it more fun, there's a new version that's substantially different from the first. If anyone out there has any knowledge or insights, help…
Not sure if this has been reported, but the HQ Mod without new default replacements will give you sims in skin suits - skin texture on clothing and hair. It now requires HQ default replacements of EA eyes and eyebrows that have been fixed for the patch. If you use makeup it also needs fixed HQ default replacements.
:) I've taken a closer look and can report that while Luumia's eyeshine mods are not actually broken they conflict with fixed default eyes because both modify the same CASP resources. Both work but can't be used together. I'm thinking of adding a shine remover function to the default eye fixer as a workaround.
Cmar here. Users of my Default Eye Colors Fixer have reported that LUUMIA's eye specular remover (AllEyesShineRemover) breaks the fixed default eyes, and his pet eye specular remover (NoEyeSpecPets) now works only for the left eye. Thanks for this, collecting and keeping track of all this info is a huge job. Great work!
Sure, here's a picture. Yes, I also noticed compressed textures don't seem to work right in CAS with this new version of the skintone. Oddly, they seem fine with old versions. Skininator always let creators import either uncompressed or DXT5 texture for the CAS image but the new version will save them uncompressed only.…
The tans and burns are done with additional textures, one for tan and one for burn for every natural skin tone. There's a new version of the TONE file that links up three textures (normal, tan, burn) for every skin. The fantasy skins simply have zeros for the tan and burn links so they're not used. Oh, and there's what I…
Have you tried the More Columns in CAS mod? http://modthesims.info/d/558052/more-columns-in-cas.html It'll give you more eye color swatches per row and at least reduce the problem.
There are quite a few sim modifiers that have no actual morphs linked, some that I think have morphs but aren't used, and some (like the alien ears and toddler morphs) that were added after SimGuruModSquad gave us the first list. If necessary you can use MorphMaker to display the effect of an unnamed modifier.
