@Diassa You can join SFS even if you don't have anyone to invite you. There's a form you have to fill out, and admins will send you an email invitation a couple days after. It's what I did as well.

I think your Sim gets these moodlets if you don't fulfill their Wants for a while. You should be able to disable them in the Gameplay settings.

If you can and feel comfortable with using mods, MCCC enables the adoption of orphans if the last Teen / Adult in the household passes away! I do wish it was an "official" feature though, I don't like to rely on mods for everything.

Preach. I have been building more as of late, and the lack of matching swatches makes it hell. If only everything had white and black swatches, at least - you can fit those with pretty much anything. Seriously, the most difficult thing in TS4 is matching woods.
