Sweaters, scarves, hats, gloves/mittens, blankets, socks, decorative doilies, oven holders.. Basically, if its knittable, we want to knit it. I really think it would be great if it was heavy on the kids clothing. What knitting grandma doesnt make half the stuff their grandchild wears
I'm curious what is reported broken for SOL (KawaiiStacie). I have not had any problems with it since the patch, thought it could just be an option that I don't use.
I probably won't make an entry this month. Only a few days left, and a lot of post-vacation stuff to catch up on. I look forward to reading everyone else's and racking my brain over the vote though.
Fantastic stories one and all. Congratulations to all those who won, and to everyone who participated. It really was so very difficult to choose just 3. I went back and forth several times on which I was going to pick.
I'm not sure how your numbers work, but I will say that I tend to read a few at a time, then have to leave and come back after a while. I have issues with reading, and any more than that tends to make a mess of my mind, though I haven't voted yet of course. I also wait until it's voting time to read any of them, so I don't…
Not at all necessary Lisa. You do exceptional work for all of this, and still manage to squeeze your own stories in there as well. :) And by the looks of things, I have a lot of reading to do! I can't wait to get to everyone's story.
@itguyinsc Wow! I didn't expect that to be so quick. I took your photo tour, and it is a beautiful home! I can't thank you enough :) I can't wait to move him in.
That is what she says too, lol. After seeing some of the things it comes up with, I believe it. But even when she has to use it (which is also seldom), I understand what should be said. I can't translate her German, but often times I will correct the google translations for her because once it's in English, it is fairly…
I have a friend who is German, and she lets me read her stuff from time to time that she either writes in English, or runs through the google translator. I tell her all the time that I'll figure it out with context, it doesn't have to be written perfect. Goodness knows I am far from it myself. I try to pick apart my own…
Unfortunately, you are very accurate in your assumption. Though I will say the degree is far less important if you can get the experience part down. I do not have a degree, and that has never been an obstacle for me. Its getting your foot in that first door that is the challenge, yes. Often times it can be about who you…
My May story is officially up. I guess it's good that I got it done already, otherwise I really might have had to miss out this month. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Writing this really brought about some great memories for me. Mother, May I? (Don't you say it!)
@divanthesimmer Thanks! My mom used to have me type up her meeting notes from back in her nursing days. She was the English scholar, but no good on a computer. Maybe a little bit rubbed off on me from that. Math was actually my better subject. And good thing too, since the teacher's curse was right, and I do use it most…
You're telling me. I'm the guy that failed English more than I passed. I ended up taking 3 years of English my senior year of high school just so i would graduate on time, and if not for one particular teacher being very lenient with me, I wouldn't have. Now I enjoy writing, and when I'm not punching out a quick message…
I have also finished writing my May story, and just have to do the screenies (and actually create some of the characters for the game). It's funny, I wasn't even going to participate this month, because May is such a crazy time for me, but the story just flowed, so I had to put it down.
