  • Yes you can. I've done it at least with 2 families. All will be in the same class during class times. Keeping track of the free times can be challenging especially with more than 2.
  • I have had 2 different butlers in 2 different homes do laundry on their own in the past. One was in an open area to all and one was in an area attached to the butler's quarters which were locked to household members. I don't remember any family members trying to do laundry in either household. The locked laundry was in a…
  • I, also, remember that feature. If your sim paid the larger fee, you had a better chance of getting a better match, but there was always a chance of a complete failure. Drama! I've had some luck in this game having a sim frequent only one community lot(Park, bar, hangout). After 2-3 visits, the target sim has shown up.…
  • I usually place the outdoor bin at the side or back of the house and place a fence or half wall around it leaving an opening or gate if necessary. I surround the area with some shrubs and flowers to blend it in.
  • @Rflong7 The map area I was referring to was the one that came with the Hot Date pack. There is a park to the right of the downtown, and just to the north of it was the building I was referring to. Unfortunately there is a black box covering that area of the map in the tiny picture of the Prima Guide I am now looking at. I…
  • It's been years since I played The Sims, but I think I remember a park that was somehow connected to Crumplebottom. There was a house catty-corner to the park, but I don't remember every entering that house. For some reason, I associated that with her house. I think it was in came in the Hot Date pack. I no longer have…
  • Happy New Year to you, too. Thank you for this opportunity. I don't know how I did it, but did manage to get 10 of 10. Have to confess got lucky with 2 guesses.
  • Thanks everyone for you responses. I thought I remembered having to remove a particular type of tree in the past, but couldn't remember which one it was. This lot has a number of different types of trees. I think there is a bread fruit tree on this particular lot. I'll remove it the next time I play. I didn't what to move…
  • The first group will graduate and leave before the second, if you have already played the first group. When you move the second group in, the locals will automatically be moved out. You will get a message when you move the 2nd group in about the locals being relocated. You don't have to do anything special.
  • Once you have aged the friend to teen, you can send him to college at anytime, just don't put him(her) on the same lot as you have Etsu. Play the friends lot until you have him at the same level as she is; ie Sophmore day 3. . This way Etsu can be invited over for visits or on dates. Once they are at the same time in their…
  • Thanks everyone. I appreciate your help.

  • I'm just getting back into Sims 2 and it's been awhile, but I did use to play businesses quite a bit. I think that businesses can only be inherited by members of the same household. As long as you aren't changing lots the business is located on, you might be able to invite the children over and gift them the deed or title…
  • Thank you for your quick response. The link is going to a very useful resource & reminder of what not to do. I skip around playing Sims 2, 3 and 4, with sometimes months in between, so do get mixed up by the do's and don'ts for the various games. I appreciate your help.
  • Thank you for your response DivinylsFan. I was able to remove the plate in the main neighborhood finally. When it happened again, I realized that it was the same sim using the plate. I again replaced the table using the cheat, and, also did a resetSim . The next time he finished eating, he cleaned up the plate. Crossing my…
  • Thank you for your responses. I'll give them a try.
  • Thank you both for you responses. I have tried the "moveobjects on" method, but can't delete the plate, just move it out of the way (a far corner of the lot). Is there a way to get rid of it? I do remember this problem from years ago when I played Sims 2, but can't remember how to delete the plate. I will try replacing the…
  • I played that LTW once years ago, and had the Sim go to each of the vacation places to get a 2-3 different NPC lovers at each site. By adding some at university, you won't clutter up your hometown as much. I also learned to be careful about where my sim went with any one lover. Towards the completion of this want, she…
  • Cute concept! I love what you did with Riverview. That must have taken some time and planning. You did a great job of portraying your characters.
  • I don't remember having a butler die of old age, but did lose at least two to fire deaths. I use to have the Greek houses employ a butler to keep things clean, cook, repaired & the grounds maintained. As I play rotationally, I did get through several generations going to university & other than the two fire deaths don't…
  • I, also, always use Bonehilda in any University dorm I place a Sim in. But, before sending someone to University, I edit the dorm to be used. I usually upgrade the kitchen appliances, TV, computers & bathrooms, because Bonehilda will in autumn & early winter be outside raking leaves for hours.
  • You might try clicking on the Science building to see if the option is there.
  • If @becomingjenn's suggestions don't work, have you tried clicking on the workplace & directing him to go to work? I've had kids that didn't go to school even though the bus was sitting in front of the house & when I teleported them to school & clicked on the building, they would go in & complete their day as usual,…
  • If you don't routinely delete your caches, you might try doing that. If your up for mods, I think there are some that might be of help. If you don't want to use mods, then you could try moving the family to another town. If this doesn't help, you might try searching for other threads about traveling problems, possible…
  • I'm not able to get into my game yet so I can't pinpoint where it is. Have you tried searching in the buydebug section using the filter for Store items? You may find the Industrial oven there. You might also try searching while on a community lot. The wood fire oven is not meant to be used in a restaurant setup. It came…
  • @HunterInShadow Thank you for clarifying the uses of Java Hut & Coffeehouse. I now know why one of my lots never seemed to function like I wanted it to. @kwold Great question.
  • @MiyuEmi I did have Jeffrey Dean marry one of my sims. I don't remember if I played any of his children long enough to go to university, but at least one of the siblings of my sim did go to university after the wedding & graduate. I continued the game playing the second sim through their children & grandchildren. Due to a…
  • Haven't played with the tractor in a while, but I don't think there is a minimum distance. There is a maximum. If your garden is very large, you will have to go around more than once to complete everything the tractor does. You need to choose from the three choices for each round. If I remember correctly, the watering…
  • I'm basically a lurker on the forums. I just wanted to let you know how much I have been enjoying your writing. I can't every remember not being an avid reader, but a picky one. Your stories are very compelling, and I look forward to each chapter. I appreciate the "spin-off" stories. They clarify and compliment Listening…
