I never seem to keep this page updated. Sorry!

  • I've been playing the pack since it came out yesterday and I'm loving it. One of the small details I really like is when you gift another Sim a piece of jewelry, they immediately put it on so you can see it.
  • I haven't found the dig spots to be overly plentiful, but the usual ones in Oasis Springs and Willow Creek were there when I played yesterday. I haven't had time to check out all the other worlds yet. I wish we could have spawners on our own property. Maybe I'll have my Sim join the scientist career temporarily to dig all…
  • I love the pack and haven't had any problems using it. I'm crafty in real life so maybe that's why this pack appeals to me so much, but my Sim is having fun with the new skill and the crystal effects. I don't even know where the cart button is that everyone is talking about. I haven't noticed it at all and I played for…
  • With a full moon my pieces only had to charge for 3 hours. The phases of the moon affect the charge length. I just charge things while my Sim sleeps and then the jewelry is ready in the morning. I'm finding them fun. She's increased her charisma in no time. I haven't had time to try all the of the effects out yet, but so…
  • I play a completely vanilla game (and have all the packs) and have been playing For Rent almost daily since release day and have enjoyed it. Nothing game breaking or file corrupting has happened (touch wood!). I'm not a builder, though, so I don't know anything about the lot types error (although I think the recent patch…
  • My Sims are mostly natural, but I never rule out Supernaturals because I never know where my story might take me. My latest game, for example, my landlord Sim married his tenant and she was a mermaid. I hadn't planned it that way, but they made such a cute couple that I went with it. I also tend to have at least one Sim in…
  • I love multitasking when you're getting ready for work, but brushing your teeth while still eating breakfast seems to defeat the purpose.
  • For Rent is the focus of my current game. I started the day it came out and I created Sims for each of the new aspirations, and the handyman job, and randomly assigned some of the new traits to my Sims. I made two of them landlords and the rest tenants (downloaded a few cool builds from the gallery), and placed most of my…
  • My Sim currently lives in Willow Creek in the lot by the special tree. She puts her stand on the corner of her property, near the path all the NPCs take past the tree and her stand is always full of customers; Some NPCs stop by, but also the neighbors in the other houses in that dead-end area stop by every time she starts…
  • The vegetable one sounds like could be fun and different. My second vote would be for Not So Berry. I love that challenge (I'm currently doing the expansion pack version).
  • I started the Family Fortune scenario yesterday (in an existing game) and Granny Nyssa had a whim to start a new relationship. She bumped into Mateo Markovic dressed as a hotdog wandering around San Sequoia and they hit it off! He's an elder now. I don't know if Lucia has passed away or what, but he said he was single so…
  • I think the infants are adorable! I love the new interactions and the things they can learn (definitely need GT to get the most fun out of them). But in a big family after the first couple of kids I tend to just age the babies up to child as quickly as possible to get on with life. LOL.
  • Just about everything in my game I leave random, but after 5 girls in a row, I was tempted to "influence" a boy for the current pregnancy, but didn't. She had another girl (!!) and later adopted a boy.
  • If you have university, there's the soccer ball to play take with you to play with, or in HSY the football. A yoga mat is portable, too. I think that came with the Spa Day pack maybe? My Sims are always carrying these things around just in case.
  • I go to the vet clinic and load up on the wellness treats from the vending machine. I buy like 10 at a time.
  • I use the old school method of pen and notebook, and organize my screenshots into folders by families, generations, or challenges. Sometimes I'll put together a family tree from screenshots in a graphics program. I have a blog just for my Sims stuff, but I'm so slow about updating it because I'd rather be playing.
  • I love randomness and surprises in my game so I pretty much give my Sims free rein and see what happens, but I like to do challenges, too, so my games have a little structure to them. I used to only play one family, but I've discovered I like rotational play (with aging turned off for played families) as the families grow…
  • I had a Sim get rid of a Trendi outfit by giving it as a gift to a friend.
  • I've had the Father Sim of my young adult Sim come over and ask to move in with him, not just visit. His son was like, "No, Dad, you're married to Mom. Go home now." LOL! There are four more kids back at home, including a toddler and twin infants so can't really blame the dad for wanting to get away, but moving out…
  • It took some getting used to but now that I know where stuff is I’m finding it more intuitive.
  • My Sims went to the park (the one in MyShuno and then Oasis Springs) and the dad was able to help his daughter learn to ride. He also was able to help her learn in MyShuno at the festival area outside the arts center when there was no festival going on.
  • My couple's science baby was a girl. No mods or cheats.
  • I have two fashion stylists in one of my families (one is Caleb Vatore) and they have very "creative" ways of dressing for work as well. :D :D :D :D
  • I had to quit and restart Origin and let Origin do a client update in order for the kit to show up on my screen.
  • Yes, stray dogs seem to spawn in Moonwood Mill. My Sim met a terrier type dog while out walking in the woods and adopted him. He howls when she howls, which is cute. He’s the only one I’ve seen so far, though. I’ve noticed her dog like to follow her over to pack headquarters a lot, too, and just chill there. That might be…
  • I had this happen a couple times and it seemed to be with client families that had a lot of members. I thought it was a time saving thing so I didn't have to go to each Sim and get their reaction. I actually liked that it sped things up and just cleared the job and paid me. But yeah, it might be a glitch. I don't have any…
  • No, I find the Sims 4 worlds have a good amount of "walking space" in each neighborhood (some parts I still haven't explored fully even after all these years.) I don't miss Sims 3 open world that much because I remember how long it used to take my poor Sim to get to her life guard job on the coast. She had to run over all…
  • Most of the time I ignore Caleb, but in one of my saves he kept turning up on my Sims' lot so I let a romance (or two, or three) develop and now he's a married father of five, living in Brindleton Bay, working as a style influencer, and the patriarch of my Winston-Vatore legacy family.…
