It's probably a problem with the rabbithole positioning. Make a backup save, then delete the whole building, fix the stairs and then put the building back from Community Objects in build mode. You might have to use the moveobjects on cheat to get it in place.

If the lot is too small, you can always copy it to the bin, then put it back down on a larger empty lot. I have built a resort, up to 5 stars even. But it was a long time ago, just after Island Paradise came out, so I'm a little rusty. You're probably better off just looking at Carl's guide.

56 feet?! I'd say that's too big. ;) A 56" monitor would probably be too big for a desk as well. I find the 21" monitor I have now to be just fine. AAMOF, I use Sims 3 in windowed most almost all the time anyway. It's not like it's super hi-res or you need to see tiny details anyway.

That's pretty much what I do too. Although there are some traits that I just won't use, like Insane and a couple others. Although pretty frequently, when I have twins, I'll make one good and one evil and then randomize from there.

I had to buy a new motherboard and case back in December, because my old one blew out. Then I had to send the case back, because I accidently ordered one w/o any drive openings on the front. :D Anyway, I've been on Win 10 for years now, even running the beta before public release.

I prefer to play 3-5 sims per household. Since I play on low free will less than 3 doesn't keep me busy, more than 5 is too much to keep tracking of. I have to keep pausing every 2 minutes to tell everybody what to do. :D
