Aurora Skies is a Scandinavian town, Iceland or coastal Norway. Barnacle Bay is in the New England area, near Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. It's my favorite world to play in, I have made a ton of new houses and commercial lots and a smattering of new families. Dragon Valley is Ireland. If they actually had dragons there.…
I just recently re-installed Sims 3 and decided to start with just the basics, instead of throwing in everything all at once. Of course "just the basics" includes Ambitions, Generations and Pets. And all of the stuff packs. But my favorite pack is probably Supernatural, I'm saving that one for later. Moonlight Falls is an…
It's probably a problem with the rabbithole positioning. Make a backup save, then delete the whole building, fix the stairs and then put the building back from Community Objects in build mode. You might have to use the moveobjects on cheat to get it in place.
Barnacle Bay is one of my favorite worlds too. I've made a lot of houses & commercial lots that I uploaded to my studio years ago. I had to download a couple myself recently when I couldn't find them on my hard drive and the Save File button seems to work best.…
That's pretty much the same thing I do. Except having a garden on your own lot is too much work, so I have a community lot premade with a bunch of plants on it. What I want to know is, how are you guys getting burnt food so often? Unless you're using the very cheapest stove my sims almost never burn their food, even if…
I just reinstalled Sims 3 after a couple years, and the only way I found to reinstall store items was in-game through the downloads dashboard. Which still has problems, I get a lot of download errors for no discernable reason. Also the interface is horrible, it just has pages and pages of random names, with very little…
I only use a limited amount of mods, mostly to fix game breaking problems. The first mod I ever got was way back soon after Late Night released and the car spawning bug manifested, so I had to find out what was happening to my game and how to fix it, which led me to Overwatch. I remember long ago, when it used to delete…
I haven't played for a couple of years, since before I got married even. A couple weeks ago I decided to fire up an reinstall stuff again, and I got my wife interested in playing too. We've mostly played MMOs like World of Warcraft together before, so it took her a while to figure out that stuff I did on my computer has no…
If the lot is too small, you can always copy it to the bin, then put it back down on a larger empty lot. I have built a resort, up to 5 stars even. But it was a long time ago, just after Island Paradise came out, so I'm a little rusty. You're probably better off just looking at Carl's guide.
56 feet?! I'd say that's too big. ;) A 56" monitor would probably be too big for a desk as well. I find the 21" monitor I have now to be just fine. AAMOF, I use Sims 3 in windowed most almost all the time anyway. It's not like it's super hi-res or you need to see tiny details anyway.
I've been using Windows 10 for a couple years now, and I haven't had any problems with it. I even made my mother and brother switch to Win10. I haven't had any problems with Sims 3, and I don't have Sims 4, and haven't installed Sims 1 or 2 in over a decade. The main problem you'll run into with a new computer is that Sims…
When we have pizza at work, I have to pick the peppers off of the "combo" pizza usually. But that's because the peppers hate my stomach, not because I don't like the taste. ;) When Sims 2 came out with the Grilled Cheese aspiration, I remember thinking to myself "Self, I haven't had a grilled cheese sandwich in a long…
I was playing an evil celebrity once, and every time she got a scandal, she deflected it to Dina Caliente. Nina was her best buddy, but Dina reeeallly hated her. :)
That's pretty much what I do too. Although there are some traits that I just won't use, like Insane and a couple others. Although pretty frequently, when I have twins, I'll make one good and one evil and then randomize from there.
I had to buy a new motherboard and case back in December, because my old one blew out. Then I had to send the case back, because I accidently ordered one w/o any drive openings on the front. :D Anyway, I've been on Win 10 for years now, even running the beta before public release.
I prefer to play 3-5 sims per household. Since I play on low free will less than 3 doesn't keep me busy, more than 5 is too much to keep tracking of. I have to keep pausing every 2 minutes to tell everybody what to do. :D
I generally play legacy style, so for toddler>child and child>teen I'll throw a party and invite over friends and extended family. But then I don't use the cake to age up, but a cheat. I've got a perfectly good plate of Perfect Vegetarian Grilled Salmon right over there, don't you dare fill up on cake!! Baby>toddler is…
Well, there you go then. He can move to Bridgeport and be the locally sourced, organically grown, non-GMO farmer and sell lettuce for 20 bucks a head. ;) I've just been working on a new save of Bridgeport, for my Josie and the Pussycats tribute band to move to. I've still never been able to get a band going in any other…
