I've been following this thread with interest as well, so thanks to all who gave suggestions, especially this very detailed last post from @puzzlezaddict! I am shopping in the US, but otherwise am looking for the same kinds of options as Tasha was. Getting excited to shop!
I enjoy having lots of lifestyle options for my sims, so something that takes me out of the urban/suburban worlds that are currently well represented would be welcome. In the Sims 3, I loved nectar making because of how the bottles appreciated in value. I would pass down bottles through the generations - it was fun to…
I've returned to Sims 3 after a few years of mostly playing with 4. I forgot how much I loved it! Yes, it has weird bugs and glitches, but as MadIris notes above, the open world feels much more immersive. Plus I love using CASt to customize everything, and I just find the Sims 3 sims funnier and more interesting, even…
I would love a mod that keeps playable/pre-made sims (which I am not currently playing) in their own worlds. I don't like it when, for example, Marcus Flex shows up in Del Sol Valley - I want him to stay put in Windenburg unless I move him or invite him elsewhere. Anyone know if such a thing exists, or would be possible?
Agreed! This would also be helpful if you want to repeat the same outfit across different weather categories - e.g., when I want my sim's every day look to be the same as her cold weather look during the fall or winter, I wouldn't have to manually remake the exact same outfit in both categories.
The car related touch that I miss most is the morning carpool - especially how you would be picked up for work by increasingly better cars as you advanced in your career. But I can see how it doesn't really make sense now that we have loading screens that 'teleport' sims everywhere.
I agree as well! Randomly travelling between worlds on a whim completely breaks immersion for me, especially if I have to go to another world in order to get to a specific type of lot. I loved that Sims 3 worlds felt like real, all-inclusive worlds. If you are living in Sunset Valley, you have everything you need - you…
I'm having the same issue with terrain paints not working. I have only tried in Del Sol Valley, though. I need to test if it's the same in all worlds for me.
I haven't actually started any game play yet - I am still having fun building up the two empty lots in the starter neighborhood so that they look like the surrounding homes. I love how the backdrop surrounding homes/lots are are crammed and jumbled together, like in a real city neighborhood. I agree with others who have…
I agree as well! Was just wishing for this last night while playing. Especially now with seasons, I'd love the ability to copy or save my 'everyday' outfit as a cold or hot weather option, rather than having to remake the whole outfit in another category.
Cats are missing 'eyebrows'! I created a sim version of my own kitty - and got very close, but I cannot recreate his fabulous eyebrows! He is black with very large, white eyebrows, so they are one of his most distinctive features. It is too bad that the create-a-cat system completely left out eyebrow whiskers as a facial…
Thank you for this thread- I am too new to create my own. My problem is that City Living stole my baby! My sims were taking perfectly good care of her, and then I suddenly got the "your baby is being taken away, try a goldfish next time" message. Awful! I've been having other issues with City Living as well that I've seen…
Hello, this is totally off topic of this discussion, but how do I start a new topic on a forum? I want to post about some City Living bugs, but I can't figure out how to create a new post in that forum topic. Thanks for the help.
The content and gameplay that I miss the most is from Sims 3 Pets and World Adventures, so I'd love to see pets and/or expanded travel/vacation/exploration options next.
