  • As above, I've paid a lot of money for this game and it's DLC's. I have had a break for almost a year from playing the game due to all of the issues with various game releases and I was jaded by it all. Finally last week I got back into it, remembered how much I enjoy it, and am now back in playing mode. Whilst I think I…
  • So, what I've discovered is that once EA app catches up and tells you that you have games in your inventory, and it says you need to update the game... Go offline in the settings, and it will say "Unable to connect to servers", but it will also have the games that you have installed listed underneath. If you press the…
  • I'm not being given an option to play offline. Every time I try and open the EA App offline it tells me that it can't open. When I connect to the internet and log in, it tells me that it is waiting and there is no option to play the game. I can't completely confirm, but I certainly have no access to the game offline :s
  • Don't you just hate it when...you pay nearly £1000 for a game that you can no longer play due to game breaking patches?! Yep. That's the main one for me!
  • All I really want is a game that works and I can actually play. Kits for a game that's unplayable are worthless, no matter how good or bad they are. How can more content be released when so many people can't actually use any of it!? Beyond unacceptable at this point.
  • Ah even then the game tends to cancel all of the actions I've lined up, because it decides sims want to do something else instead. This was my irritation before, but then on top of all of the new bugs with the new patches etc, I think I'll hold off until they've released those promised, but yet unreleased fixes ;)
  • It's a really good question! I have been holding off opening Origin/playing my game since the debacle of the original patch (thankfully, I didnt download it!). I was actually really keen to play with the updates and the new pack, so have been waiting for these fixes they promised... And then there was silence...
  • Thank you for all of your answers. I think I'm going to hold off for now. It is such a shame, there seems to actually be a lot of great content, it just doesn't work properly. When you end up feeling like you're fighting the game to get your sims to do what you've asked them to do, it doesn't feel good to play.
  • I think what I'd actually like is just one teen stage, but where they are teens not fully sized adults! They just feel like a prolonged adult life stage really. I'd just like them to be more if a unique life stage, that was noticeable.
  • I feel like my sims get constant calls offering them a new job...like All.The.Time. And then the calls saying "Congratualations, you're friends with your toddler"/ "Do you think we should try for a baby?" - Mum, you've called me to ask me this question every day for the past week - the answer is STILL no! Stop asking. I…
  • I noticed that it my game the other day. Thankfully no-one died, but many of my male sims arrived wearing their best dresses :D
  • I haven't created a custom uni, because it seems to have to be tied to only Britechester or Foxbury. But what I have done is create a new campus, in a different world that is tied to that uni. So, I have Foxbury-Oasis, which is based in Oasis Springs. I have only used the lots closest to the water, but I have made a…
  • What I've started to do to manage this is to move my sim into dorms, and then use CAS to change all of the ugly townie roommates into sims I want in my game. Then I just leave them to go through university, and they'll graduate around the same time as my sim. Once my sim graduates, I can go into manage households, turn on…
  • Love this! Such a great idea!!
  • I hadnt thought about Glimmerbrook, but it would make a nice retreat. I think I'll go for Sulani, and make a tropical spa.
  • Thank you - I think I might do this  I like the idea of turning the Admiral Wreckage into a spa. I really wish we could have combined spa and residential! Your Admiral Wreckage Community Space looks interesting!
  • Thank you for this. I ended up having to exit my game and reload, which luckily fixed the problem. Weird glitch though, I hope this doesnt happen to more of my animals if I decide to take them to a show!
  • Function. I have no style :D
  • I play generationally, so if a marriage doesn't work out I keep playing my heir sim, and the other moves out. The kids stay with my sim, but they will invite the other parent over sometimes, or they will go and meet up somewhere. I have had a sim who got his uni girlfriend pregnant when they weren't living together, so I…
  • I really like the look of the dust buster pack, and it does look like it would give extra gameplay, which makes a huge difference to my decision. I wouldn't buy any of the others though, just with stuff and no gameplay. I do have an issue with the price, and the lack of content though. Stuff packs are getting slightly…
  • It's $6.96 dollars
  • All of the above really. I like the idea of creating a homestead type home, and I think farming for me enhances the idae of off the grid type living. So it's less about farming itself, but more about a cosy country world, where my sims can live and grow their own food etc. I also loved the cows and getting milk, eggs from…
  • I think I'd actually love all of these, so it's really hard to choose an overrated one! I think there are some options that for me the game NEEDS for extending and deepening gameplay, and ones that would just add something extra. Needs - generations, teen pack, and colour wheel/sliders (just so I can make furniture…
  • I love all of these ideas honestly! I loved the vibe of Aurora Skies so I voted for Icelandic - plus it's a colder world with geothermal stuff, and it'd be cool to see more of that. But I'd love a Monte Vista type Italian vibe world, or a Greek Island vibe, and South African Bush just sounds really different and…
  • @Netzspannung That does sound like a lot of fun :) @CelSims Oh boy, thanks for the warning! I better move him out of Newcrest asap :D @GalacticGal Yes that's a good idea. I use the dice quite a lot to make smaller decisions, but this seems like a good time to do it for some larger life changing events ;) @Kerrigan I was…
  • This is my most recent heir and his family at the moment... I have a rule that I can't change their features in CAS, but I am careful who they marry/have children with - so no ugly townies! Every generation, I add lots of different sims from the gallery and move them into the houses in my game. So when my heir is a young…
  • Gen 39 at the mo :) And now I can't even think about starting another family!
  • I'm pretty sure it was a necessary class as part of the Fine Arts degree. I know whichever course it was I was made to do it at both semester attempts. I'll have to try maxing out my skills and try again :)
  • Really? I had a sim maxed out in photography, went to all classes and did all homework and coursework, took notes in classes etc, but kept getting an F in each module that focussed on photography. He kept retaking the class and would get an A+ in everything, but always an F in photography. I assumed it must be because he…
