  • think that was the sims 1. as it is, there is clothes in the sims 4 for toddlers that do not have diapers and as such, the game needs a modification to acommodate that. even EA have added clothes without diapers(swim wear).
  • one of the reasons for open world causing issues in the sims 3 was that it ran out of memory. that issue is more or less gone in the sims 4(in the 64 bit executable at the very least).
  • it is not entirely about peeing. point 12 for example have nothing to do with peeing. you can of course post other ideas for improving toddlers.
  • you are clearly confusing toddlers with babies(toddlers is the point in life after kids learn to walk). i suppose they could add more interaction to babies though, like teaching them how to walk. crib makes sense though, i will give you that. they could possibly add the ability to breastfeed toddlers.
  • story progression is already present. the way open world worked in the sims 3 was: each area in the neighborhood could be accessed without loading screens. in the sims 4, leaving the house area triggers a loading screen. Willow Creek, windenburg, del sol valley, oasis springs, san myshono, newcrest and brindleton would…
  • it should be possible with existing saves. the saves does save a lot as it is i believe and as such, they likely do not need to be changed. loading screens is the past. it is possible to add open world without using a lot of resources through an option called something like number of lots loaded at once. here is how it…
  • open world never involved connecting multiple worls, only connecting neighborhoods together in the form of a city. going to other worlds in the sims 3 still required a loading screen. they should at least allow sims to visit all parts of their city without loading screens.
  • adding open world will not require a complete rewrite because interactions does not need to be changed. maybe they need to add some new stuff but, the old stuff does not need to be changed. they need to cut the travel script(where clicking on the edge of the area the sims lives in executes a loading screen). they then need…
  • not really. the sims 4 is still in development.
  • that does not make it true. he might believe that it can not be done but, they can likely do it if they get programmers that is better at going around "engine limits". if it really is a limit however, open world will be gone until the sims 7.
  • it was possible in the sims 3 which was based on the old the sims engine(or so i believe) so, i am not buying the engine limitation argument. if it had been true, then it would not be possible until the sims 7. the sims 5 will not use a new engine, as they are changing engine after 3 games, not in every game.
  • people can change their minds with enough convincing. as it is, the sims 4 feels like the sims 2. used to feel like the sims 1 until they added toddlers. if enough people request open world, the developers is forced to surrender.
  • i got no issues running the sims 3 on modern graphics cards. guess the issue with the sims 3 was that its requirements for running perfectly was hardware not yet available at the time. the sims 4 however should be possible to add open world to but, the memory requirements would skyrocket. that means that they have to…
  • my favorite elements of the sims 3 is to travel around town and buying shops. i am also a fan of the ability to travel to other countries in the sims 3 and completing quests. another thing i could do in the sims 3 was invent stuff by finding scrap. story progression is already in the sims 4, not that i am a fan of that.
  • initially, the sims 4 did not have enough memory for open world because of its 32 bit executable. now however, EA can drop that executable since noone would play this on a 32 bit system anyway. here is my idea: release it as an expansion called the sims 4 open world. they can then separate the people without the expansion…
  • maybe specific but, on the other hand, more realistic than the current gameplay mechanics. i want a game that is as realistic as possible. there is already normal underwear for toddlers available but, they do not come with script and as such, the game acts like it is still diapers. that proves that it is possible from a…
  • one of the companies in Norway used it without even knowing that it was from the sims 3. all rights to the sims 3 including its sound track is owned by electronic arts.
  • those issues should certainly be fixed, not that I have ever encountered them. one issue I found was that the eating animation was not optimal. open world however is very important to me and the main reason why I still prefer the sims 3.
  • in the sims 3, the initial sim created in the sim creator can be turned into a vampire. in the sims 4 however, I have to create a new sim to get a vampire. that is what makes it a step down from the sims 3. think the sims 1 and 2 had the ability to see the needs of the animals. that makes the sims 4 a step down even from…
  • it could be changed later but the problem in the sims 3 was massive use of memory. the sims 4 would need a 64 bit executable for that and that it wont get right away. eventually however it could get it.
  • all you need is a better graphics card but you shouldnt have more than 1 gigabyte of ram on it or else the game runs out of memory and starts lagging.
  • you could get a graphics card that is supported and switch to it to play the game. the game is having trouble with graphics cards that have more than 1 gigabyte of ram because of how much memory it uses and lack of 64 bit executable.(i experienced a memory usage of 1600 megabytes.)(1,6 gigabytes.)
  • could be a bad mod that is incompatible but then again i dont know how much free space you have so unless you provide that information i cant tell for sure.
  • i have the same problem myself and it appears that the sims 3 runs out of memory. when i got the problem it was using 1,5 gigabytes of ram.
  • that solution requires a file to look different from how it actually do. it doesnt however compensate for the out of memory issue. i also dont have any problems unless the sim is home. only at home does it lag. i havent experienced any lag in china for example.(when the sim is in china.)
  • i havent seen any so i likely wont find them on my own. could you tell me where to find them. i have found out that the problem happens after the game have been running unpaused for a while so it seems that it runs out of memory.
  • updated graphics drivers didnt help at all. i have 2 gigabytes on the graphics card in addition to at least 4 gigabytes of internal memory and the problem is on both pcs that have 2 gigabytes of the memory on the graphics card. geforce 650 ti and 660 ti. i didnt have the problem with 1 gigabyte of graphics card memory so…
  • it could add the toddler or child stage as that doesnt seem to be included in the base package.
