I played as a tenant for the first time today and was so disappointed by all the bugs. My rent like so many others was 4.2billion, and the other option on the mailbox to 'pay rent and bills' was 9,999,999. When stuff broke in my apartment, the landlord came but refused to carry out repairs and just spent his time mopping…
I think that player might be having a bug with the maintenance event. In my game I heard an explosion, a fire started in the kitchen and I had to replace the burned-out stove.
This might be something I'm doing wrong rather than a genuine negative, but I couldn't find a way to upgrade a unit in Build/Buy while a tenant was living there. How are we supposed to improve the unit rating if we can't add furnishings, decorations etc while someone lives there? Unless there is a way and I just haven't…
I had one of the small appliances catch fire (can't remember which one) and I was worried because I'd seen Plumbella's video. Fortunately though my Sim had no routing issues in extinguishing it.
It's out! This was the first pack I've purchased and installed via EA App that downloaded straight away. I'm already launching into my game to play with the new stuff.
I've just read that nectar making, one of the only non-horse related features, is only a five-level skill. 💀 Plumbella also confirmed that we can't build our own obstacle courses. ...Why is this its own EP when the horses in TS3 pets had more?
I miss the days of TS3 where Expansion Packs would add random gameplay objects outside of the theme. Showtime added golf, Supernatural added a claw machine, University Life added bowling, etc. Now we don't even get gameplay objects that fit the theme. If this pack had included a mechanical bull, rocking horses and spring…
This pack makes Island Living look full of content. Vampires, Realm of Magic and Werewolves all had more features than this. Why is it an expansion pack?
This was just a longer version of the reveal trailer. Where is the gameplay? Animations and a shallow world that offers little but pretty screenshots is not gameplay. This one's a pass for me.
After watching the trailer I feel really underwhelmed, and I went in with low expectations. Sure the horses themselves look well done, but... They were well done in TS3 Pets, which came with dogs, cats, horses, birds, reptiles, a huge world and more. I see an empty-looking world full of shells which looks pretty but…
As much as these are good content ideas, the nature of the kit model means they can't be fully-fleshed out - see for example the Courtyard Oasis kit. It'll be a collection of pretty items, but not substantial enough to complete the theme. I miss Stuff Packs. :(
I'd love to see Likes and Dislikes expanded further, to include TV channels, food, movies if you own Movie Hangout stuff and weather if you own Seasons. There is already in-game preference functionality for the latter two so I'm sure it's possible.
Still no updates on when this will be fixed. This is the only evening I have to play the pack for the forseeable future so I'm beyond disappointed by this. :'(
Does the pack release at midnight for each country? Or is it one set time? I'm in the UK and we usually get patches around 6pm, so just wondering if it'll be the same with the pack.
I'm nervous for the stream. I feel like it'll make or break my decision on whether to pre-order. If I see shallow systems that don't really affect the game and Willow Creek 2.0 I'll wait for a sale. If there is more to the pack than the trailers have showcased, and the new systems are actually meaningful and in-depth, then…
As someone who wanted a teen/school EP for years I find HSY such a disappointing pack. There are less gameplay choices available to you if you follow your Sims to school, than if you let them disappear for the day and control them via the pie menu. The fact you can't even select work hard/slack off/nap/talk to friends…
I like the idea of Compatibility, Dynamics, Milestones etc., but I'm mindful of how in-depth they'll actually be. NAPs, Lifestyles, Sentiments, Wants, Fears, all had promise but all ended up being either buggy, shallow or both.
I'm glad we're finally getting free babies but... If the game remains as buggy and shallow as it currently is then they will get boring fast like the rest of the game. I'm ready for Rene.
