As I don't know if I will get another chance, I worked my sims full out on this event. Now it's all done, I gave them all a well earned break, to sleep through the alarm, watch a movie marathon and have a nice slice of rainbow cake. Some tropical island visits are planned too :)

I think that the social point requirement is a pain, but necessary for money making. There are plenty of people who want everything straight away, first time round on events and are willing to pay money to get it, however, they wouldn't pay if they didn't have to and then the game would go because there would be not enough…

I don't know if it is meant this way or not, but I have found that when a hobby gets stuck getting the same things over and over, swapping sims to one who has never done the hobby before seems to get it out of that rut. This has worked for me with 4 different hobbies and it costs nothing to give it a try. Good luck.

The sims free play has gone from the app store. Does anybody know what will happen if i need to reinstall the game on my windows device for some reason as has happened previously? Very disappointed with this event. The spin plants are expensive compared to the qty of candles you make, and are very mean.
