I have to agree with what was said above. You seem to have enough ram. My computer has 8 GB of ram and I crash a lot right now (I have an open thread about the problem) so its obviously not the ammount of ram that is the issue. Make sure you arn't running any programs other than the Sims 3 when you play, that could cause…
Well if I don't fix this problem I'll have to play on my old computer and as a point I'd like to be using my new computer lol. If you don't mind please tell me how to do that if it dosn't work I'll just revert it to the old settings. Thank you for your feedback!
So we think its a RAM problem? How would I go about freeing up more RAM for Sims 3 to work on? I'm not to versed in the ways of detailed windows manipulation but I can follow directions
Thats what I thought too. I went into my Nvidia settings and it allowed me to chose which card to use with which program. I set Sims 3 to "High Performance Nvidia card". It ran for about 3 hours without any problems but then it started freezing up in the sim editor while I was trying to edit one of my sim's hair styles. I…
I too 'am having issues. My game is constantly freezing up. I just got a new computer with the latest generation of Intel Core i7 with 8 gigs of ram on windows 7. I'll have to try the older towns and see how those work. Sad though because I wanted to play in Starlight Shores.
Honestly its a great game and I'm having a ton of fun with it. I will admit however I do have one bad taste in my mouth... its new. What I mean by that is I miss my expantions. For some reason I figured they'd put many of the features found in Sims 2 and its expantions into the Sims 3 and that all future expantions would…
Ok for anyone with McAfee remember to make sure the Sims 3 has full access to your computer... normaly McAfee tells me when a program is requesting it but you need to go in and do it by yourself... ok my durr moment for the day is done. So if you have this problem check your firewall since the program needs to talk to the…
1) create a new EA account with a new email that you can use then register your game. 2) Yahoo should allow you to retrive your password, or if you can't retreive it they should let create a new one after answering questions you set up before creating your email account. Hope that helps.
I was joking because it felt like you were rubbing it in that you had the game while us downloaders are still waiting on them to let us download it. 8)
Lol lucky someone could get fired for that. As for me I have the Direct to drive version but the download manager won't let me download it... I'm guessing its because its not midnight yet.
I'll be honest I didn't fully understand what you were trying to say. I bought the game, I have the Download Manager open but it won't start the download. I tryed to get the free town and it says "download again" and when I click that it goes to a error page. So I'm not sure where the Sims3 icon is that you were talking…
