There is not a pop up when game is started. I have checked and have turned on the CC script too. I have Package files in them as well.

No doubt about it I would buy it. I will say though, the Mac version that you can purchase from the App Store is kind of like that. It has some updated graphics/resolutions I believe. I've seen some screen shots from the game and they are stunning!

I was having a similar issue every time Origin had an update. Honestly, I've found that video files will corrupt easily and will not be read on PC, but as soon as I transfered the files over to my Macbook, they worked perfectly. I believe it all has to do with how Windows is feeling that day :P

That's great to hear! I want it, but just haven't gotten the chance to buy it yet. I'm currently in a battle just to get Patio Stuff. EA charged me 8 times for an "attempted purchase" and I can't buy it until I get the refund because I'm using a gift card with limited funds.

That is true about the GP's. I haven't bought Outdoor Retreat, but it's practically an EP on its own! I'd actually go for more GP's simply because they are cheaper. I'd much rather pay $20 for it than $40.

HAHA! Yeah Sweet Treat is probably the worst Stuff Pack. I mean, it was the least selling one of the franchise and is pretty much useless. Sad part is, I love Katy Perry. I'm a huge fan, but I'm not afraid to say that her content sucks in TS3. Let's not even get into the hairstyles...gave me nightmares...

You can't really compare the two that much. I mean, they are both from two different generations of the Sims. Prices, technology, and time spent creating this stuff has all changed. Maybe it's cheaper now because people at EA were able to use advanced tech. to create more content faster, therefore bringing down the price…

I do know that there's a way to build an above ground pool in TS4 so maybe you will be able to build the Hot Tubs into a deck or something.

I have to agree with @fullspiral here. Outdoor Living was one of the worst SP's of TS3 and they want $20 for it. Even though there may be less content with Patio Stuff, the overall quality is better.

These Stuff Packs and Game Packs are pretty much just taking the place of the TS3 store. Release a small amount of content which is really not crucial for gameplay at a small price. Simple fix for that. If I can't or don't want to spend $10 for a game, then I most certainly won't be spending that much in coffee purchases for me. That's just me personally.

That is true. You could do that with TS3 or just turn on cheats and force it to be Winter. Also in Sims 2 you could download mods that extended your seasons however long you wanted or you could just save up enough reward points and purchase the weather machine thing and control it that way.
