You may want to read more of the Mac posts before installing. If you still have your Windows disc, you can install it in bootcamp in your Mac, and then install your games to run through that, as you'll have far better game play.

Oh yes, it is a regular problem for several of us. What I do now is save first. Then I exit. Whenever I save and exit, it locks (so it may as well have crashed). Hope that works for you too.

The slowness is probably your memory. 2GBs won't get you far with Sims on a Mac. Most of us have problems even with 4GBs. Read the posts in this forum to get an idea of some of our problems and solutions.
