  • Hi, thanks for your reply! Yes, the store is set up for selling and items are marked for sale. I will try placing the lot from the library!
  • I'll be pre-ordering the limited edition soon :) I don't think the price increase on the other versions are justified compared to the extra things you get. But I really want that tikki bar! And a physical copy. For most games I don't care, but since sims was one of my first games and I got almost every sims game on disc...…
  • I did try something similar a long time ago. I think they will cross a lot if it's their only option, but I'm pretty sure they won't be going up and down stairs on lots to do so. Well, if the stairs lead from one elevation of ground to another, I think it works. But if the stair forces them to go to another floor... that's…
  • Are you sure that is also true for sim created paintings, statues, books etc.? I realized I was pretty unclear in my first post. I guess it's best to go and ask at modthesims! Thank you Reg :)
  • To me, it looks like the area has no terrain paint. It's a while since I used CAW, but I think deleting all paints give those black edges and holes.
  • You could also wait for seasons. You can choose what weather will be most likely, and the options are save specific.
  • As soon as I saw the festival lots, I was hoping so bad that it would work on other lots as well! But I didn't really believe it could be true. Bunny, this is incredible, thanks for asking! Oh, I can almost feel the ideas forming in my head. As people already mentioned, seasonal decor for the homes... Tombs only available…
  • One thing you might want to take into consideration is distance between rabbit holes and residential lots. If sims live too far away from their workplace, they might be unable to get to work in time. One thing you can do to counter this is placing fast cars on residential lots far away from rabbit holes. Maybe you've…
  • @Rflong7: Yeah, it's lucky there's people who give us more details than EA do themselves... ;) @Conor: Yup, Tea&Blues it was. I signed it, but never really thought they'd listen to us! @Damienf519: It's definitely awesome!
  • While I have not finished any worlds as of date, I can't believe it would ever bother me. Well, maybe if they took lots of pictures and posted them along with comments along the lines of "this and that was so terrible, I threw it all out, now look at my beautiful creation!" ;) I'd just be happy if people saw something in…
  • EDIT: Oops. Double post!
  • It looks lovely so far, I love the architecture! And the tower is just such a great idea. When it comes to the CC, while no CC is preferable for me as a downloader, when I am a creator I do use some CC myself to fix those small things so it feels just right. Which means I absolutely understand why other creators use CC…
  • That's good to hear Lennon, I'm so glad you all seem to enjoy it :)
  • Thanks for the reply, Reg :) It's good to know that Lucky Palms seems to be popular with your friends, hopefully it means many in the community has bought it or is considering to do so. I'd love some more replies, just a quick yes or no from a few of you would help me understand what kind of audience a world with lucky…
  • Yes, I'm aware that it's an old tutorial. I didn't mean to bash it, only wanted to make clear we know better now. :)
  • I have gathered a lot of performance-related information in this thread: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/462095.page I've chosen to only include stuff that has actually been proven or confirmed. One thing that I've seen mentioned multiple times (for example, in armiel's tutorial which simsample linked to above)…
  • Everyone does things differently, but one tip I could pass on: for making mountains and cliffs, like the ones sloping into the water, I find it easier to first craft the general shape and smooth it. Then, to make it believable, I do not use any kind of tool that raises the terrain. I'm sure some do, but it doesn't work for…
  • Great update, Conor! I do love the idea of the different areas and their names are great. One thing I noticed in the pictures was the rather repetitive pattern on your stone buildings (the ruin and one more). If I'm not totally wrong, that wallpaper actually comes in three different versions that fit seamlessly with each…

  • Glad it worked out for ya! :)
  • I'm pretty sure it means that it's overlapping another lot - I have never seen it otherwise. While the lots' edges seem parallel to the eye, I'm sure that the lot next to it is closer than one tile at some point. I've noticed this issue myself when I turned the grid - lots placed had a tiiiiny difference in coordinates…
  • Wow, that is some neat terrain! Very well done! How did you go about sculpting it?
  • No, you can't do it without mods. EA wouldn't add anything which could be used to discriminate people of either sexuality.
  • Good to hear! Best of luck with the meshing - I am sure it'll work out splendidly.
  • Looking as good as ever! I really like that graveyard. Will Reyes County have distant terrain upon completion?
  • I think that Simsample at some point reported that he experienced substantial lag playing a world with more than 8 textures per chunk on a low spec computer. While it might not make a world lag unbearably on a good PC, I still think it'd decrease performance a bit.
  • It's really beautiful so far! Another thing you could improve is the placement of your vegetation, especially on picture 2 of your last picture post it looks a bit unnatural. Space them a bit less evenly, mix different types of plants, and also (and this is something which is easy to forget but makes a big difference)…
  • Using CC or making do with what you have are simply two ways of approaching the same problem. With the former, you pour your creativity into the creation of custom objects, and with the latter, you instead use your creativity to create with what you have at hand. The results will be different, but no method will guarantee…
  • I'm currently working on a small map, and it is indeed small. Even a 30x30 lot is quite big on a small map, and if you want to fit in several dozen of them, it will be tricky. Make sure you have enough room before you start building! It'd be a shame to realize halfway through that the map's not large enough. I'd use at…
  • Hey! In order to get feedback, it is best to add screenshots because a) most people won't download a world unless they have seen pictures of it and b) people who won't download the world in any case can still give you feedback. Good luck!
  • Yeah, the June compilation has been on my wishlist FOREVER. But SimGuruSarah's promised us a fix and I'm sure June will be included in it.
