  • Actually, I've been hearing you can ask him to move in with a high enough relationship. Haven't confirmed for myself yet, though.
  • There's no explicit rules against this -- if you want to kill the 20 sims (or more!) you need to build up a suitable relationship with Mr. Reaper, by all means, knock yourself out. (And enjoy your black, literally, black, babies)
  • seafood dishes are sushi, fish+chips, dim sum, grilled salmon, and lobster thermidor. Does Ambrosia (MADE WITH REAL DEATHFISH!) count?
  • Personally, I'd have made all of these into a single "Sim of the Month Challenge" thread, updating the title as needed. Easier to keep track of that way, I think.
  • available lifetime wants are based on traits. Gordon's traits are what makes achieving level 10 in the sports career a challenge. You cannot change Gordon's traits and still "compete" in the challenge. Ergo: you can not select level 9 professional sports as Gordon's lifetime want. (Pinstar's version has him wanting to be a…
  • The only warehouse I know of in riverview (that isn't the criminal career "office") is fully look-inside-able. It's got crates and a few garage-door style entrances / exits. Pretty boring atm, but neat flavor.
  • Ah, excellent. Can't wait.
  • I was amused by "German Empire". I assume you're doing this with story progression (or awesome mod) off to prevent them from leaving town on their own? Or...?
  • Whelp. I'm back, after finally pushing Gordon through the final hoops, he reached top of the sports career on day 30. (Though I was hair-rendingly close to 27) But doing this playtest has brought up some interesting conclusions. On at least two separate occasions, I was denied a promotion by a sliver of a bar. Both…
  • Favorite'd and recommended. A worthy tutorial indeed.
  • One of the policemen in riverview (I forget his name, but he's not a service npc, has a living father named Bennie) was a pyromaniac in my game. I don't know if that's what he defaults to or if something went odd when he moved in. I noticed it when I clicked on him and the option came up -- "light something on fire" O.o
  • I think this is a great idea, Pinstar. I'm not sure if I'll do it though -- I'm afraid anything that takes me away from the legacy challenge means I won't go back  . I think that the rule should be no life-extending items, that way "score" can be tabulated based on the age of the sim at the end of the challenge.…
  • Am I going crazy, or is the "Beautiful Lot" moodlet in Sunset Valley +10 points higher than the one in Riverview?
  • I think it's because, usually, the ghost who's trying for baby in the first place has been resurrected (and can thus earn even more points because becoming a ghost resets their age). Personally, I'd not feel bad if someone built up a relationship with a ghost that haunted every night (say, a widow's husband) and trying for…
  • When an interaction is grayed out, it usually means your sim is too hungry/tired/stressed/in need of a bathroom break to do it at the moment. Get their needs up and try again. Edit: as a point of reference, the two books considered to be "Pregnancy Books" in terms of wish fullfillment are: Baby Incoming:Preparing with…
  • Kylie is not related to your founder by blood, and thus cannot be the heir.
  • I think I'm most likely to get sympathy here. I just restarted my legacy (I had used ambrosia in my previous one and had a playable ghost. Grr!), and at the end of day 2 my sim had the following possessions: A guitar (in inventory), a 2x3 room with floor and wall coverings (and even a door to get in! what luxury) and the…
  • Are points per category still locked to 10? Or rather -- what's to stop one from having 10 kids, getting portraits of all of them, and then repeating ad infinum until you reach the desired score from painting points alone? Other Questions: The "Lot Furnished" value seems a poor way to measure wealth. Afterall, when the 9th…
  • Trees of Life grow from special seeds, not rare seeds. Get yourself a collection helper and nab all the special seeds you can find lying about -- hurry, the plants take a long time to grow!
  • Bugs don't need a cage -- just drag them out of your inventory and *poof* insta bugbox.
  • Has your sim taken gardening lessons before? The classes are one-of I'm afraid.
  • My green-thumb sim with the super green-thumb reward increases the quality of any seed she plants by one.
  • This is correct.
  • starting out with only 1,700 is rough. Thank goodness for the 28-hour gym, I say!
  • Then isn't it... KitKatcml? I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

  • You can by "normal" plants at the store. Normal -> Nice -> Very Nice -> Great -> Excellent -> Outstanding -> Perfect.
  • you can plant fruit. Simply plant one of the fruit from one of the outstanding plants, and (if your sim knows gardening) grow up to be a perfect plant. The other thing is that even though plants are, say, "normal", they still might have "nice" or "very nice" fruit. If you plant the "very nice" fruit, it will grow into a…
