I kind of wish they'd extended family trees a bit more in The Sims 3. From what I can tell Nathan's second cousin is married to his wife's sister making their kids third cousins but also cousins? It's all a bit confusing but might have to swing the annihilation hammer to correct the timeline perhaps...
Still on The Sims 3 here and will probably remain so if the next iteration isn't significantly better than the last. I'm going into this with pretty low expectations though.
Open or bust. TS4 was a big disappointment and hopefully they've learned something from their mistakes. Seeing a lot of love for 3-4 mix but ideally it'd be better if you can have multiple open worlds where everything is easy to travel between but still maintains relationships and simulates progression on every world for…
Seems like igazor may be closer to the answer as even without mods it is relatively the same (minus the simulation hiccups in speed 1). Not sure what else I can really do about this but I'll keep an eye on things.
@Satanu_Reeves Good evening. Yeah, I thought not. I may just return to using legacy worlds and rely on Overwatch and ErrorTrap to pick up anybody getting stuck and send them on their way. Seems like I'll have to move everybody out to a different legacy world in that case and figure out what to do from there.
@igazor Good evening, long time no see. This could just be it, the game was never very stable to begin with but I've never experienced problems this bad before. I can definitely relate to spying on the neighbours though, personally chose not to install HomeOpener because of performance concerns so I'll occasionally just…
@puzzlezaddict Good evening. I haven't installed a new motherboard since I got this build, it has always been a GIGABYTE GA-A320M-H with the only component changes being RAM but again both the old and new RAM had no issues when checked with memory diagnostics. So it signalling a completely different motherboard is new to…
I've done this as suggested, not sure if it will make much of a difference but less sims (especially ones I don't care about ) isn't a huge loss. Pretty sure mine are cleaned up every night but I'll keep this in mind for future saves if I decide not to ever take the performance career route. This is interesting as…
Recorded a small snippet of Sunset Valley on a new save file and it seems like the stuttering is present more noticeably on simulation speed 2 and 3 (3 being the obvious worst) and 1 being relatively stable(?) My main Twinbrook save I'm using right now is around a week old and I have cleaned it up to see if there's any…
@puzzlezaddict Hello again. I will take another look at Sunset Valley with a new save to see if I can spot anything out of the ordinary. I've uninstalled Razer Synapse as I don't really use it for anything other than the RGB profiles and the backlight stuff still works anyway without it. These blue screens have been going…
@puzzlezaddict Hey, thanks for getting back to me. I'm currently on Twinbrook but the fixed MTS variant (whether this has performance issues idk) and I've experienced the same problem on Sunset Valley as well. My frame rate is manually capped via V-Sync in NVIDIA Control Panel and I've experimented with triple buffering…
Noticed this stray dog keeps hanging out on our porch and look how fluffy he is. I'm tempted to straight up adopt him but my house is way too small for that at the moment... :/
Haven't got any screenshots at hand right now but I decided to try giving TS3 another go with a new save file to see if I can get back into it. Using the patched version of Twinbrook as a starting world so we will see how things go.
Starting out with a completely new save file is going to be a little tough given that I liked the characters in the last one. It's good to finally be back playing The Sims 3 after such a long time though! Seems as though Chase has fallen for Agnes Crumplebottom's Hopeless Romantic antics (lol) and they've married and moved…
Couldn't agree more to be honest - the main selling point for me is the core gameplay and I felt like TS4 really lacked. I was actually really disappointed (like a sinking feeling) when I first played in 2014 and didn't have the heart to say anything as it was a birthday gift). The game collected dust for about 4 years…
Congrats @IreneSwift on being the first person to post on page 100! I don't have access to my old save files anymore but enjoy this old screenshot I found
Apparently it was my fifth anniversary on the forums recently which is kind of neat! Unfortunately I haven't sorted out the installation for The Sims 3 on my new PC (yet) but I thought I'd at least post something for you! Believe it or not this is the VERY first screenshot I took and uploaded to My Page back on…
Seeing as the thread in The Sims 3 section did so well I thought I'd make one for The Sims 4 :) I don't play a whole lot as I can't get into TS4 but here's Danielle working away at some Gourmet Meals for the last step of her Master Chef aspiration. EDIT: Hyperlinked to the original thread if you're interested! :)
