True. To be honest I don't actively bother with the collections, the only one I've ever completed is the Artifacts collection and that wasn't intentional, just a consequence of unearthing and authenticating hoards of items in Selvadorada; even then I don't recall getting any reward for completing it. Are you meant to get…
Now you can have a famous vampire who has a secret bowling alley in the bottom of his Transalvanian mansion. Eat your heart out Cristopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
I had an aunt with similar sayings; "manners costeth nothing" and another regular was "an inch of courtesy can take you a mile". It's a lot easier to teach children such things than sims.
For crystals and metals you can send them off to have the elements extracted which can them be put in the display rack as a decoration, if you have GTW you can do this yourself if you are in the Science profession. Another good alternative for crystals if you have the JA game pack, you can refine them to use to activate…
Hi @EA_Mai it didn't seem to work, that thread still shows as September 3 to me when the last post was actually December 9th. I think the gremlins need a bit more prodding.
I bought a bundle: Get Famous Parenthood Bowling Stuff With the promo code on top of the bundle discount got the price down to £31; that's about half the price of buying them separately on Origin. I won't complain at that, just means lots of new content and gameplay to try out, I know what I'll be playing over the…
Most homes I create have a washer and dryer in them, it's an integral part of the game for me now. Usually though I only have one or two hampers, since I mostly play small families it's sufficient and I rarely see any clothing piles on the floor.
I voted other because I've never had an emotional death yet, I play with with aging off and don't intentionally kill off any sim, so deaths are very rare in my game.
Until now I've ignored the Photography skill as not something I'm interested in, however I have a sim in the new Style Influencer career which requires a bit of photography so I've recently been using it; however so far I've just sold all images taken.
I wouldn't call myself osessed with cars but would be happy to have them in TS4 ala TS2 style, especially if we can have the car build object from TS2 back as well for some grease monkey sims; I could make a garage club then with car building activities.
Yes I do, I like listening to my sims talking, i like listening to the TV when they are watching and I quite like some of the music that comes with the stereo (such as Retro, Baroque and Electronica); even the music on Build/Buy is all part of the experience for me. The only exception I make is the emotion change "Sting"…
Hey @EA_Lanna I'm seeing the date issue with this thread, says last post was September 3: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/807825/what-can-be-done-to-fix-ts4#latest
I was quite disappointed that newspapers were not included in TS4 but I suppose it's a bit more realistic since less people buy them IRL these days. Still, I always liked the crossword in the TS2 newspaper and always had sims complete it for a bit of daily logic; plus I liked all the useful info in the TS3 version, it was…
I've seen this before in another thread: I'd still like to see that back as well. I'd really like to have the original Servo back from The Sims, the ones in TS2/3 were ok but I much preferred the original as an object rather than a playable sim:
I like the idea of running my own hotel, I wouldn't want to hire employees to work there though as they'd probably be useless but having the family run a BB would be quite cool.
Yes I read them all (not that I remember everything listed if it's a large patch), usually while the game is updating, then load up the game afterwards.
My number 1 wish would be for the return of witches, which I'm sure we'll get at some point since it's a popular request, but I'd love to see a version of miagic town too; I loved all the items in the TS1 magic town, especially the item where you tried raising the dead and calling up a storm, and the duelling platform.…
Thats been happening since the original The Sims, I recall that when I bought The Sims Deluxe edition back in 2003, there were two greyed out buttons at the top; one for Downtown and another for the Vacation Island, if you hovered over them it said to purchade these packs to visit these places (or something like that).…
I've been thinking of trying a max skill challenge, by that I mean having a single sim max out every skill possible (without cheating); good job I play with aging off. I've also been thinking of trying an all careers challenge and have a single sim reach the top of every career and profession in the game (again without…
I thought I didn't have one at first either, however I did finally notice it stuck behind an easel on the porch, it was easy enouigh to drag it out to another location. My current family has finished the challenge now.
This is in my game too, no more emotions for work (although if you hover over the tool tip icon it still lists a positive emotion as a way to improve work performance) for my sims. I'm really hoping this is a new surprise feature and not a new bug, we shall see.
Apologies for the bump, just wanted to add that I've tried both lots several times and they do function normally as comunity lots. If no one else has had this happen, is this a bug/glitch with my game? I'll try deleting caches and reparing the game, as well as trying another save file to see if it happens again. If it is a…
@Simsandra @rosemow Thanks for your response, I don't have the Parenthood pack so that's why I've not seen it. Pity really since it looks like a cool feature.
I'm not that bothered really, I only ever have a handful of playable families in a save anyway so I have plenty of free space. I'm far more interested in the actual gameplay than the number of lots.
I didn't know until recently that your sim can find a bar of gold worth about 6K on the ground in Brindleton Bay and can claim it and sell it; found two of them now, both besides gold looking pet poop.
