  • Yes, there isn't much to load.
  • I would prefer that they stay away rather than embarrass us all with another dancing clapping fiasco.
  • Then I think you need to choose a different prefix than demi or it's cousins semi and hemi. They all mean half. The world is not half open. The world is about 1/10th open. Not sure the prefix for that is....maybe I should google. Edit: Deci...I should have known. The world is deci-open.
  • I disagree that it's "demi-open". They've made some open area around each lot so you can go outside a house or building. You still have only that one area. You can't go from the library to the gym without a loading screen because they're two different lots. That's a closed world. You can't play two sims on two different…
  • What kills family play for me more than the lack of toddlers is the closed world. It really turns the game away from families or even couples because you can only play the sim on the active lot. Unless you drag everyone around to the same lot all the time, you're stuck in a situation where you play this sim or that sim but…
  • Except that this is a public forum. The line is thin there but so far the courts have been supporting First Amendment rights on social media. They can remove things that violated their posted rules but they cannot tell us what we can and cannot think or say about their product. We can say, "Pets will never be added." if we…
  • I have a few problems with this lecture. First and foremost, there is this little thing called the First Amendment that says we can state our opinions as fact. It's something that the Supreme Court has upheld over and over again. So I don't think a Community Manager gets to tells what we can and cannot post within reason.…
  • I agree with Into the Future. That was a bit of a let down. Simport was a fun idea but they couldn't make it work. Island Paradise brought scuba diving which was fun but you couldn't copy dive lots into other worlds. So disappointing. I guess I'd like to see them do something new. Expansions like World Adventures and Into…
  • It's a fun idea but where could it go? It would really just be a small house in a closed world. The same is true of cars. They'd just be a woohoo spot. You can't go anywhere in them.
  • @ChloeDeCookie I'm glad you love the game. I'm still that way with TS3. This game is just so disappointing to me. I couldn't even make it harvest the fruit in the last challenge.
  • The game is just OK. It's not worth $60 by any stretch of the imagination. Don't pay any more for it than you would for a fun game to waste a few hours on through Steam. No more than $20. Because that's all this is. A way to waste an hour to two here and there. This isn't a game that will strip away days or years of your…
  • It's a big change right at the core of the game. It's just not the big change to the core I would have liked best. I'm indifferent to this. More choices are always good but I wasn't saying, "What this game needs to make it great is unisex options in CAS."
  • A toddler stuff pack? So no actual toddlers just some clothing and furniture to make you think they are there? I think that would be more underwhelming than the teaser they just introduced. Or do you mean a game pack that has a little expanded game play? Still underwhelming but better than just toddler stuff.
  • Didn't I see a thread from SimGuruDrake letting us know that there would an announcement? Maybe something else about how they would not be discussing toddlers?
  • I think the problem is that there was too much build up and not enough announcement. I'm rarely here anymore nor do I spend much time at any other Sims site or blog yet I knew there was going to be a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT today. I come shuffling over to see what all the fuss is about and I get a 15 second clip with no…
  • I also hope that they can do something about group conversations that just happen. Its hard to have a private date or moment because The Trudgers always barge in to chat.
  • Love SimGuruGraham. He might be my favorite just because I remember all the broadcasts from TS3. However TS4 is a game with a closed world and no toddlers but he's worried about World Adventures being divisive and love/hate? That ship has sailed. You might as well give us tombs and rpg play because we're already ripping…
  • I love having them all in my game in TS3. My play style in this area can best be described at unrealistically realistic. The human doctor married to the witch alchemist and they've adopted a baby alien. It could happen! :-) But if I have to choose, I want witches back the most. I love playing them. Not to mention they have…
  • Yeah. There isn't anywhere to go and not much to do when you get there. Lately I've had the same exact sims in the same venues. If I send my sim to the nightclub/bar/whatever they call it in Oasis Springs, I will find Bella Goth, Geoffrey Landgraab, Dina Caliente, Nancy Landgraab and Eliza Pancakes there. No more. No less.…
  • I don't think I've responded to this one yet but if I have forgive me. Ethnicity: When I first started playing TS3, I created sims that looked mostly like me. It wasn't intentional. I think its just how I started out when I was learning the game. They always married whoever. As I became a more experienced player, I started…
  • I'm not a great rule follower so I always bend them how they are the most fun for me. I don't play any challenges with anyone else or keep score so it doesn't really matter. Play how you want. There are a million take offs on the Legacy Challenge so if your way is fun and interesting, write new rules and add it to the list.
  • I'm late to the party but I read the first 40 or so chapters today. So funny! Thanks for brightening my work day a bit.
  • I started playing again to do the Easter challenge. It looked kind of fun. You're right. It gets boring after an hour or so. Why? Three words. Terrible World Design. That's it. We're a year and a half into this game. There is still no where to go. There is nothing to do once you get there and a loading screen in between. I…
  • Yes, you can trudge around the neighborhood with all the other trudgers. You cannot go to the library without a loading screen. Worse you cannot send Mom to the library without losing control of the rest of the family. You can't even think about sending Mom to the library, Dad to the gym and the kids to the park. That's…
  • They added a ton of functionality to it in TS4 which is cool but plants don't die. Ever. That killed it for me.
  • Patches in TS3 did more but they were few and far between. They only patched the game when new content was coming out. TS4 patches come every month. They add less to the game but they fix more.
  • If I have to choose, I choose Team Sandbox. In reality, I like some scripting. True sandbox games are completely pointless. I find that boring. On the other hand, too much direction from the game and I'm bored too.
