The Sims series five plus year cycle is unusual in the gaming industry. Most games get DLC for a year, maybe two, and then done until the sequel another two plus years later. If they stopped making add ons for TS4 now, you won't have been short changed. Not in terms of quantity at least. Quality might be a different…
Unless, by some miracle, casual gamers start buying PCs again, or someone figures out how to make a mobile game that's actually good, I wouldn't expect much out of a TS5.
I can see how the devs might have felt they were in a predicament. The Sims is and always was a casual game for casual gamers. Problem is casual gamers no longer own the hardware necessary for a good, modern Sims game, they're on tablets and smartphones now. The gaming world split in half and The Sims was stuck with one…
I'm sure you'll get tons of hate for saying this, trans being serious business and all, but I agree. The half hour or so I spent gender bending my sims was the first time I had anything resembling fun while playing this game. Unfortunately it's the kind of joke that's only funny the first time, and once the joke has…
My opinion has nothing to do with it. In fact, you bought the game on an "as is" basis. Future content was never guaranteed at all, much less the specific future content you want. If you thought otherwise you were wrong. Period. If you enjoy the game as is, your money won't have been wasted no matter how much or how little…
It's demonstrably false to claim that they care about the fanbase or aren't greedy. They don't and they are. There's absolutely no reason the OP or any other customer should care about their emotions.
If you supported the game just because of the promise (they didn't actually promise anything) of future content, that's on you. You were a sucker. Sorry. Learn from your mistake and do better next time.
Given this games age and pedigree, 36k is fairly pathetic. Civilization V gets that. It came out in 2010 and you'll never find an installment of the series in a list of best selling PC games of all time.
