further on this ..... have tried repair game. Issue still there. And it's it not just in the game itself, it's in the start up loading screen. This has never happened before - even when other stuff has been running in the background (cloud updates, etc). Clearly, something went wrong with the patch and needs to be fixed…

Have tried that also, and now the game won't even load up. Should say, the stop-start thing happens during game loading also. So it is definitely a game issue and nothing else.

What is especially useless is that the patch has affected the game. every two minutes (sometimes longer, sometimes less), the game freezes for upwards of a minute. My computer isn't even two years old, ladyjester. Bought it off the shelf (local Bing Lee as they had the best price - paid just under AU$600 for the laptop, carry bag and cooling pad). Like i've said, it's only been since i've installed then reinstalled City Living that i've had these issues.
