I spent 2 hours last night editing all the weather outfits for all the households, and i havent even gotten to sims in Windenburg or SanMyshuno. The randomized weather outfuts are just ridiculous. They need to tweak the tagging system for both hot and cold too. Under full outfit for females, it only gives me alien costumes…
I'm seriously considering using a vpn to get it a bit early, but it being against the rules is totally phsyching me out. Im not even sure how much i'd get to play until 10pm tonight, but still, it must be so exciting for those who can get it now!
@a_niles06 i think we gave very similar goals with hoq to use the calendar/holiday system. Ill also use 4 week seasons, and i hope itll help me to really enjoy the time with my sims. In fact, how ill be setting up my holidays is similar to yours too! Im totally borrowing your St.Gnomes Day, and Reflection/Resolution days.…
@a_niles06 ooh, i like Freezerpalooza! I was trying to avoid anything "-fest" since theres already a few holidays with that in the name. But i like your idea, i think I'll use it!
@a_niles06 im not sure for most of those, but i think they've set up the "easter" holiday as Egg Day. You could also do something like "Bunny Hop Day" or "Day of New Blooms" as an allude to new spring flowers. Christmas could be "Frost Day" or "Snowflake Social"? Not sure on the others though, i also want a new name for…
Holy cow, thats an awesome idea for a cool gameplay twist. New aspiration every new years maybe even regardless of if the previous is completed or not. Brilliant! Im totally doing this
Does anyone remember how soon in advance Target announced the 50%off sale they did for cats and dogs? I'm anxious to know if they'll be doing one for seasons
I upload a lot of houses, and moo drives me crazy, so i almost never use it when building. And if i do its for minor things like fitting a plant in a corner just right.
Dude, Harry Potter all the way. A cool magical castle to explore, making potions and flying on broomsticks. Witches and wizards for the win. Stardew Valley would also be fun. Farming is a big request being made recently
What i plan on doing is setting it to 2 week seasons, then spending 8 weeks(1 whole year) with each family before i rotate. That way each family gets all holidays and i can feel like im actually investing and making progress with their stories without feeling rushed by a 4 week year.
@Hermitgirl @MVWdeZT Omg, a stardew valley save?! That sounds brilliant! I gotta set one up for myself now, holy cow, and holidays to match too!!?.... i think i might pass out from excitement.
@Koteyka go for it! I think ill put mine as the first or second Sunday in spring, as thats close to when the American SuperBowl is. I think i might do a mix of an independant film festival and large music festivals for an arts/music festival. I can create a lot with the outdoor movie screen from Movie Night and several…
So i decided I'm going to add a SportsBowl Sunday, with sports tv, drinking and bbq. I also want to do a holiday with arts/music spirit, but im not sure what else to add to it or what to call it. Im drawing a blank on real world holidays to base it off of. Anyone have any ideas for something like this?
Ok, so now that ive watched the livestream, i am going to go through all the sims and decide which kids will be scouts, who will be doing the gardening careers, and planning greenhouses for certain lots. Im also goimg to get my rotational save ready by setting up some romances and skill levels so i can just jump right in…
I think on my rotational saves ill do 2 weeks and rotate after a full "year" (8 weeks) so as to help me move along and not get stuck on 1 household. On my single family/legacy saves ill do 4 weeks so i can really focus on spending time with the seasons and family events.
I'll have to watch the replay later, ive got errands to run this afternoon. Or, i might just check up on the maxis/guru info thread for the basic info there and save discovering gameplay for when i actually get the pack. Hmmm, not sure i can keep myself in the dark that long though
@ModernxArchitect you can absolutely share them here! Most families who have grown enough to need a larger home than a starter have collected enough furnishings to fill out a "move-in ready" home. I can't wait to see what you've done!
Man, i got logged out of the mobile site, so when i opened the forums page, it had a huge "Patch Day!" banner up top. I got really excited until i realized it was just from the May patch.
There's just so much they've packed into this EP, its a little overwhelming. We haven't even heard much about the career, beekeeping or scouts! Had anyone asked about new club activities yet?
Oooh, i wonder how scouts would work with the club system. Maybe we could have all the scouts in a club, make the club uniform the scouts outfit and have them go on little field trips together? This looks so fun, i cant wait to learn more
Yess! This is perfect. Im trying not to plan too many custom holidays yet. Ill need to see a full list of traditions first, but this will definitely be happening for my sims.
It's been a while since I've actually played, i had a baby a couple months ago, so i can't really dedicate much time to the Sims. But baby is getting better at sleeping now, so im going to go through all my households, lots and houses and make notes of how to update outfits and rennovate buildings. Ill need a sort of…
