Have several save files - different families, different worlds. Some saves are just playing a family, some are challenges. I play legacy style rather than rotational. Currently doing an Adam and Eve challenge. I don't build, but I do download so it works out.
Ah... Generations. Yep, there was controversy. It wasn't that anyone was disappointed, necessarily, with the content of that expansion - in fact, most people who play the generational style were positively drooling over it - but some people did feel the content was a bit of a money grab and much of the content should have…
There are a few of us older folk around. It isn't so much that I like slower paced games as it is that I can't be bothered with other stuff. I don't want to kill anything that moves, I'm busy decorating my house. lol I do love a good city builder tho, and could play Banished for hours on end. I pre-ordered Sims 3 at Game…
Never stopped playing TS3 and there are plenty of us still around. I'd be happy to add you, but I don't play online, so... kind of pointless. :) Enjoy your game, tho - and post pictures. We love those. lol
One of my favorite towns - it's roomy and plenty of good sized lots for building (not that I build, but I can download like a champ). At first I didn't think I'd like it, but it grew on me and is now one of my go-to towns for beginning a new sim.
I seem to end up with a garden in EVERY game no matter what - not sure why, other than the fact that I like the gardening? Maybe? I tend to be a creature of habit and early on when we were all doing our legacy challenges (grin), gardening was an easy way to boost those simoleons. Go to the park, find a seed or harvest an…
Welcome back! If you find yourself overwhelmed, just focus on your sim and what they want or what you want them to accomplish. There is so much to do, there are many of us who *still* have a list of "things I haven't done yet." Relax and enjoy - and feel free to pop in and ask questions. :)
Be sure to put a laundry basket in every room or you'll have discarded clothing all over the place. Haven't played Twinbrook in a long time - think I'll have to start a new save... Not overly fond of the houses or the pre-mades but I love the swampy, foggy look of it.
There isn't a whole lot to do other than the missions, so I get that. I never used to alter my worlds - I was always too afraid something would go wrong or I would ruin something. These days... lol I ruthlessly alter all of my worlds whether they are from EPs, the store or from our talented creators. All of my WA locations…
Been playing Sims 3 since it came out. Wasn't enthusiastic about Sims 4 even before it was released. We saw screenshots and had news about it long before it released and it wasn't doing it for me. Even so, I bought it when it released to give it a fair shot. And just no. Some of the things I really use like the color wheel…
That's... weird. And slightly terrifying. I've never seen that. Wouldn't that be a funny feature tho? Sims houses that settle. lol That architect career would really come in handy then, wouldn't it?
I guess I'm like most people here in that I tailor the weather to whatever world I'm playing. Except for those crazy people who set the weather to irl conditions. :D KIDDING!! You have me wondering now... do you play with aging off? And do you play more than one household in a world? I've been thinking to give rotational…
*Gives igazor the patented Gibbs back-of-the-head smack* You have to realize that igazor has tongue-in-cheek syndrome. It probably makes it difficult for him to talk, but it doesn't affect his typing at all. lol Definitely check out the Nraas suite. Along with fixing some crazy bugs, it adds a whole new dimension to the…
A clumsy, loser gold digger... oh dear. I picked the rich guy simply because it will help fulfill her LTW. But as soon as she does, she should probably divorce him because what loser stays married? lol
I never used to play pre-made sims but I have been lately - mostly because I wanted to steal their houses but that's a whole 'nother story. But in playing pre-mades, I play the entire household. It's a family unit - no-one is non-essential. But that's true of any sim household I play, whether pre-made or not.
Laughing because I remember the split decision this pack used to be on the boards. Some people loved it; some hated it. Personally, I love it. To the OP - glad to see you picked it up and are enjoying it.
This is my vote as well. I read someone saying something about how everyone tries to make Sims 3 sound perfect so why mess with perfection and I had to laugh. We all know Sims 3 isn't perfect - but would love to see a Sims 3 remaster. Have no interest in Sims 4 and given the number of issues and bugs I've read about,…
Occasionally I get a bad one, but most of them are ok - but to be honest... I don't use them very often. There is usually either an elder or self-employed person in the home.
