After what feels like many years, I am back at the urging of a friend who misses my favorite character Zayne, and the "diary" she had on blogger/blogspot. I love a free will game, but she hasn't done anything interesting yet. It still feels great to be back.
From the beginning. I watched the loading screens and went through the tutorial with great interest. As soon as Bob Newbie burped or farted or something, I knew this was not going to be like anything I'd ever experienced.
For me it was when I got Unleashed, my first DLC for The Sims, in 2002. There was one prebuilt mansion where an elderly college professor and his wife lived. They had two siamese cats and a parrot in a large cage, with all the possible cat furniture and interactables. I thought the pets, in particular those cats, and the…
Thank you very much for this info! I had been adding a second school to my games and it didn't solve the problem for me. It's the one thing that finally soured TS2 for me and made me give up on the legacy/challenge/multigenerational style of play. Now I want to give it a try again!
My klepto sim is nothing if not a fast learner. She spent days stealing nothing but chairs. Not even a lamp. She can't see her hand in front of her face, but by the llama she's got a place to sit. Then overnight, she went from stealing chairs to stealing expensive cars. Good girl!
When I was a little kid, my mom and I played a game ... we'd "accidentally" drop a strawberry into the sugar bowl and say "uh-oh!" Then we'd have to fish out the strawberry, now covered with sugar, and eat it. (You can't do it if the strawberry's at all wet, because then you're left with a red, sugary mess in the sugar…
So the founders of the family aren't Generation 1 but Generation 0? Wow! That changes everything if you're playing a challenge. Oh well, danged if I'm starting over! lmao.
The family tree should remain consistent through the generations. For instance, a sim child's uncle or aunt should still show up on the family tree even if they're unacquainted. Otherwise, what's a family tree for? It's to see who your relatives are, isn't it? On the flip side, a child raised from birth in a single-parent…
Thank HEAVEN I planted some flowers in the small space that I have. Talking to them is my only social outlet. No, I haven’t gone crazy quite yet. It’s supposed to make them grow better. I can buy books from this catalog. I’ve never actually owned my own book! This is going to be so cool. Then it hit me like a ton of…
This is my new home. It's a tiny, ugly box. They didn't even make it look good. I guess they want it to be as unpleasant and depressing as possible. There's no door except to a small fenced area, and no windows. Not that there’s much to see … except … nice houses that I can’t live in. People walking by who I’m not allowed…
@Katoregama Likewise, I'm glad to see this challenge is still alive. I'm glad you made it. It's a VERY creative challenge, I think. I tried it years ago. Unfortunately, I burned out on The Sims not too long after and never finished. I'm going to try it again. @Ravenna LOL at "Hotel California Challenge"
Making Friends This is Caroline. Isn’t she gorgeous? I first saw her when she entered the library with her little girl in her arms, and walked right into the wall. Talk about clumsy. She got my attention right away. She’s just got to be interesting. She got bored with our conversation and started reading a book. So I went…
Learning to Steal I’m not really a good thief. In fact, I suck at it. At first I stole a lot of chairs. No tables, just chairs. A LOT of chairs. And clocks. I’m getting better, slowly. This is what I stole tonight. It’s a marble fountain. Pretty, isn’t it?
Introductions and Stuff Hi. I’m Zayne. I love pink, I love men, and I never, ever wear shoes. When I was just shaking off my teens, I moved to a tiny house in a quaint little town called Sunset Valley. Think Mayberry with slightly better night spots. I was overcome with lust for anything with a Y chromosome, and a driving…
First of all, I'm necro-ing this thread. Get over it. I've been away from The Sims for so many years, I can't remember how to do anything. The answer to the OP question is simple, but there IS no little heart at the bottom of the thread. Has something changed in recent years? If not, what am I doing wrong?
