I do. The Sims 4 is the most boring generation I've played, and having custom content and mods makes it more exciting. One of my favorite custom packs is the Harry Potter one. The person who created it did such an amazing job!

I remember that when I made a factory reset from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1, I had to remove an update that was responsible for my game not working. You could try to remove it and play :)

@KHS12 If you did every single step I mentioned and it didn't work, I think it's your computer that for whatever reason isn't compatible. I don't know what Windows version you have installed or the rest of features it has. If you like, you could tell us and if we can think of a solution we'll post it :)

I guess it depends on the computer. I run it on a laptop and my Sims are the CD version. I didn't do anything special to make it run.

But I did play The Sims 1 on Windows 10 last year (only that there were two black bars and couldn't make it work full screen). Do you mean there was an update later on (I uninstalled Windows 10 and went back to W8.1 by September or so) that has made Windows 10 incompatible with The Sims?

I have played the Sims 1 in a modern laptop that I upgraded to Windows 10, so that's not true. Now I'm playing it on Windows 8.1 and yeah, that update should be removed because for some reason the game didn't work if you had it installed. Then my guess is that unfortunately your computer doesn't fulfill the Sims 2 requirements. If you buy a more powerful computer in the future, it'll probably work with no problems at all. In the meantime, I hope you can play with that family you've created :)

You're right about that folder (I've never understood why it would always be there after uninstalling the game); people need to check if The Sims has been completely removed from their computers to ensure they'll do a clean installation next time. Vampires in the Sims 2 are way better. I loved to go to the city and hope for the Count and Countess to appear and bite my Sims (though I also used a cheat so that they would appear in my lot, which was easier). Besides, in this generation they don't shine like fairies, they stick to the true vampire essence so to speak :#
