I would love it. I'm pretty much okay with anything that would give our sim some extra depth. Fears, favorites, attractions, horoscopes, popularity, social status, social groups, etc.
If we could have total freedom over which sim we control. All the sims in the game would be controllable, there would be no distinction between townie and selected houselhold, every sim would be ready to play without loading screens. Want to play this sim? Just click on him! Want to play that one? No problem, just click…
There were no errors when I did the Error Scan. I guess that's good news lol. I didn't do the benchmark, what we're looking for are errors, not a performance diagnostic. I'm running out of ideas. I think it just might go back to when I had my mobo changed. The technician did tell me he had to circumvent a lot of system…
I wasn't familiar with hdtune. I'll run a test. Edit... It might take a while to get the results from the Benchmark, so I'll let it run before going to bed. And they say to email them to their staff for a layman explanation of the results, so idk about that. From the first look HDtune shows no errors on the Health tab,…
Nope, never. And everything else is running smoothly. Except that one time where Blender was acting strange, but I'm really new to that software so it could just be ignorance from my part. Do you know if it's a bad idea to do a defrag when the hdd is corrupt? I bet it could corrupt a lot of data.
Well I removed the RAM one by one, and I still got the 'memory could not be read' error message, along with the infamous beep. I think this rules out the possibility that my RAM is defective, unless of course both sticks are. I strongly doubt it's the psu or gpu, because they're almost brand new, mostly, and somewhat…
I don't remember the wattage on my psu, but I bought it specifically for my new video card. So I doubt it's because it's too weak. But it could still be broken. I've also read that reading psu stress tests is near impossible to understand when you're not a techie, so I don't know what good it'll do me. Maybe if my pc shuts…
It's a custom, built in a shop. It's not very old either, I had it built 2 or 3 years ago, then upgraded many parts, power supply included, this last winter. Can a power supply really shut down a single software and leave every other processes working well? I'm no techie, but it's hard to believe. I wonder what would be a…
I have two sticks. 4Go each. Maybe I'll try this and see if I still hear a beep tomorrow, it's 1am right now. And I have no problem with a failing power supply as far as I'm concerned. My PC never shut down, it's when I start it that I have to ctrl-alt-del.
And also, it's not so bad tonight. I just played maybe 2 hours and the game didn't crash once. I turned on VSync, so maybe that helped a little, I don't know.
Hi Chester... Memtest86... It's asking me to burn the ISO image on a cd, and I don't have a cd burner or cds even. I could've used MagicISO to create a virtual drive and put the image there, but in the readme file it's stated "Be sure that you create a CD image from the ISO file rather than placing a copy of the ISO file…
That beep I hear when I boot up is worrying me more than my video card to be honest. At first I thought it was a RAM issue, but after running a test my memory seems to be working fine. So I found this little graph... Beeps --- > Possible Cause* 1 beep__ System board failure, covers BIOS corruption or ROM errors. * 2…
I figured AfterBurner out. I needed to check On Screen Display, and Detach the graphs from the widget for it to show in-game. Anyway, my fps wobbles between 35 and 60, never going over 62. I think that's bad. But still, it's only using 45% capacity. Mind you this is with 80mo of cc. I haven't removed it yet.
I installed both MSI Afterburner and the fps meter RivaTuner. I'm guessing RivaTuner is what I need to look at the fps, and I have it on. The fps should be indicated on the top corner of my screen, but it's not. Also Sims 4 is not displayed on the list of programs, on the left. In short, I don't know how RivaTuner is…
Thanks for giving this a look. I selected Adaptive in the Nvidia control panel like you said, but I don't know if it's going to make a difference because VSync wasn't checked in my game settings. Maybe it won't force it I guess. Also, I will install the temp monitor in a few minutes.
My card is pretty strong, it's a GTX760. It shouldn't be a problem I think. I guess cc could be the culprit, but I remember the game crashed the very first night the game was released. The only other clue is a faulty memory. When I start my PC I hear a bip! And many times I need to ctrl-alt-del to reboot because it cannot…
