I figured it out, I was buying the wrong homework from the bookshelf (for teens) haha. Still possibly having some issues with MCC, like lag and a dark square thing appearing next to my sims.
I don't particularly enjoy skilling much, but gardening, cooking, and painting are some of the more interesting ones. Charisma and logic are my least favorites. I find it pretty unrealistic that every sim starts with zero skills, and because I develop narratives around the sims I create, I often use MCC to increase certain…

For example: I had a toddler sim who would autonomously make messes. All. The. Time. To which I had my parent sim (their dad) punish them for - usually strictly, like with a time out or…
Rotational play is fun because it helps switch things up and keeps you from getting bored with the same household. I like to cycle through quite a few different households; some with kids and some without because they get a bit tiresome for me after a while.
My sims do this too. When I start a new action, they pause for a few seconds and just stand there. It's worst when I tell them to go to bed. Sometimes nearly an hour before they finally get in bed and go to sleep.
I find that the game is getting considerably more enjoyable as more packs are released. Seasons especially got me more into the game, and hopefully University will come out soon and add even more interesting aspects.
Rotational, because I tend to get bored after playing the same household for too long. Especially if it's a large family. It's nice to take a break with a different household (like 1-3 young adults) and also I like to build up relationships between the households I play.
Has anyone had issues with kids not being able to do their homework? I'm wondering if it's a result of this mod, because I took out all my other mods after I had this problem. The only option is "place in world."
